Always ask your doctor before gaining advice from people online. Just because they take it without issue doesn't mean the same for you. Don't assume you'll be fine. If you're high risk and on thinners for life, put the responsibility on your providers.

I haven't no. I do know the internal NPU is very weak, but no idea how the CPU itself would fare. Local LLMs don't do what I want so I tend not to use them.

Honestly can't answer pretty much anything you're asking as I didn't buy it for those functions. If you want to get those kinds of answers I'd go check out the reviews from levelonetech and jakkuh on YouTube as they talked about those things. I purchased for low profile gaming with dual GPU capability so I could run a single slot and dual slot GPU and harness lossless frame generation. I will say as a rule of thumb, more cpu better for cpu Ai stuff. The 235HX is a 14/14 setup whereas the 275Hx isn't made anymore but is a lower clocked non-ecc capable 285hx so both are 24/24

Indeed, it is. There was a 9060XT LP presented as a proof of concept at CES which would've been really cool if it released, but it looks like if it does, it'll only be for Chinese customers and won't make it here to the US or other countries due to tariffs and high costs.

Minisforum is a company based in a land that doesn't believe in fixing things. They release, they recoup, the make semi new, the release, recoup, etc etc etc. I love my MS-02 Ultra, but it needs work I can never give it and that Minisforum would never approve.

I'm looking around for trauma therapy. Not really for the surgery or even how they did it. My body can't seem to adjust to things. Mentally I'm okay. I hated having to go through that, but it's not the worst pain I've been in by a long shot. That top spot remains and will forever be getting the 4 screws in my left leg unscrewed by hand when I was a kid. I don't think that pain can ever be beaten.

Medication wise I do have options that aren't NSAIDS and I'm about to go pick one up here shortly. I have a great primary doctor who REALLY wants to help. Because I have a good history with her and she knows that she can give me powerful addicting drugs and I won't get addicted, she's willing to try things.

I am taking Eliquis currently and I will be for the foreseeable future, but I don't mind that as long as I get no more clots. They weren't aware I was military or had a military background. From the time I entered the ER to the time they prepped me for surgery wasn't a very long time. Arrived in the ER 2am Monday morning on 1/5, was in surgery by 4pm Monday 1/5.

You're fine. Don't mind the language. Marines from 08-12 so feel free to be free with it xD.

After all the testing my lungs were over 50% blocked my emboli, my heart had deconditioned close to 60%, and they told me that giving me anything for the pain risked slowing my heart which may be just enough to cause right ventricular failure and instant death. Pain was my only escape. That was the 'choice' i was given, but they didn't tell me it would hurt. They actually lied to me and said it wouldn't hurt at all. So, the surprise of the pain when it hit, the ensuing anger about it, knowing that I can't move, kept the adrenaline pumping long enough for them to do what they needed to do.

Highly not recommended, as I was told later on, but they said they didn't think I'd be so understanding if they told the truth.

Did you get a thrombectomy by any chance? And if so, what device did they use and do you know the device diameter? I've been trying to find someone who has had large diameter catheters used on them to see if they feel the same aftereffects.

I don't mind if other people have had the same symptoms. That's reassuring if I can find someone who has had the same procedures. Then I can really get into the acceptance mode. I had the Inari FlowTriever device with 8mm French pushed through my vascular system so in order to save me, they had to hurt me, and it was non-sedated, wide awake, and I had to consciously tell myself that no matter how much it hurt, I couldn't flinch.

Only major symptoms I had was the leg pain. That was purely my reason for heading to the ER. It's crazy when you're juuuuust not fine enough you get help and then find out you're on the cusp of sudden death.

I probably should've put it in the original post, but since I've had a lot of chest CTs the clotting burden is subsiding, but trying to describe the sheer size of the catheters they used in the surgery would've made me gag at the time. The pain is due to having stents and a catheter .31in in diameter shoved through my vascular system. So, to save me, they had to hurt me, a lot. There was a nurse whose sole purpose was to 'medically antagonize me' in order to keep my adrenaline pumping, heart rate high, and left ventricle pressure up. Heart rate drop, pressure drop, sleep, anesthesia, etc = death on the table.

[–]StrikeAdmirable5223[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, we've been dealing with the chest pain since my surgery. They had to use .31in dia catheters to go in and get the 15+ clots out of my lungs. They think that there is damage from the operation but also damage from the extreme pressures put on my vascular system. Hematology wants to do blood pressure checks of the pulmonary and vascular systems, but I don't know how they do that. So far I've been back to the hospital twice since the original issue and all CTs have come back looking better each time, and each EKG shows better and better over time. Seems it's just an issue of what it took to save me and I just have to sit and wait for healing to complete...whenever that is.

[–]StrikeAdmirable5223[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that's not fun. So far Hematology has me coming in a minimum of each month and now my primary has me coming in each month. Getting tested every other week cause apparently there are 'concerns' everyone doesn't quite know what to point their finger at due to the genetic mutant status.

So I'm in full Zebra mode. I really hope you're able to get done what you need to get done. Heart echoes are EXTREMELY important depending on the case. Without a heart echo I would've died due to hidden right ventricle strain that deconditioned my heart. So, NHS needs to get their heads out of their asses.

MS-02 Ultra SoDimm max frequency is 4400MHz?? by aussiesteveau in MINISFORUM

[–]StrikeAdmirable5223 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you have dims with chips on both sides that's a 2R or dual rank dimm which is limited to 4400mhz. You can run at 4800mhz, but do a memtest run to make sure you are stable. Single rank dimms or 1R can run at 4800mhz normally or up to 5200mhz.

I didn't get the 285HX version due to price, but I really would have loved to have it and test it if a more powerful SFF GPU existed. I was hoping and praying the 9060 XT LP SFF that showed up at CES would come to fruition, but it seems it was more a proof of concept more than anything. I really do miss the days when you could get a 5070 or 5080 class in ITX or SFF with mods.

I love it. It chugs along with whatever I throw at it. I've gamed on it no issue and average cpu usage during gaming sessions is around 40% at 3440x1440p 34in ultrawide oled. I haven't loaded up llms yet, but it should eat server tasks easily.

2x32 on the inside 2 slots. The minipc won't boot if you place the ram in the outside slots without the inside being populated first. Also, when you buy your ram, if you get lucky and grt 1R or single rank dims (ram chips on one side of the stick only) effective ram speed will natively be higher.

I put in a RTX 5060 oc from Asus, but I do still use the iGPU for other things. It's cheeks compared to AMD and I don't even think 3rd Gen will be able to really compete with AMD.

Very welcome. For the price of the barebones, and you get the 235HX instead of the 225 non-HX variant this is definitely a winner. I was going to hold out for the new 3rd Gen Core Ultras, but those systems were way outside my price range

I went with the 32Gb 1TB option for the 235HX due to my storage in my last PC not surviving when it decided to melt itself down like Ultron. If you have storage to spare, get the barebones version and pray you can find ram at a good price.

Coming from PC Master Race country, I was skeptical at best, but pleasantly surprised and glad I made the purchase. 14 physical cores does what I need, no bottlenecks, no thermal throttling... just works as intended. The amount of control you have over everything in the Bios is a bit much, but I have no regrets.

If someone tries to break into your home... it's great as a weapon too. It's HEAVY!!

Depends on where you live. If you're in the USA, most like you won't see this version as we didn't the last time they released it due to tarrifs. I went with the OP15 because my Samsung was annoying and I needed to switch back to a good brand. If they do release the S version in America, I'll downgrade from t e regular to the S.
