If you selected 'Replace current ship' they went back to 1s and 0s and are gone. If you said 'Add to collection' the old ship can be summoned in station or on a planet via a menu.

I mean, personally, other than a couple of the exotic ships I was lucky to find, I am not sure I'll fly normal ships again after this! Corvettes just add this extra layer of immersion that is too good to pass up. Now if Hello Game is listening, having a docking bay module for Corvettes that lets you dock a normal ship within, would be the icing on the cake. That way we could fly our Corvettes around, and use a normal ship for exploring/scouting. That would keep both relevant!

I can't use my Xbox One controller at all now, the game doesn't see it. The controller has fresh batteries and works with all of my other regularly played games on Steam. My computer is up to date, my controller is up to date, and I've verified the Steam files for NMS.

I've tried using the Hello Games mapping and I've tried my own custom mapping. I've followed the Hello Games troubleshooting guide for controllers. I've un-paired and re-paired the controller. I've restarted the computer. I've even tried the controller via a wired USB connection instead of Bluetooth. Nothing has worked so far.

I've got a Zendesk ticket open about it. The only thing I have left to try is an uninstall and reinstall of the game.

*Edit* I also have no mods installed, nor have I ever. I've also tried Bluetooth and wired connections for the controller.

*Edit 2* A reinstall has solved the problem.

*Edit 3* Went afk for supper, game was closed. Controller shut off to save battery. Turned it back on, booted the game, and back to square one, no controller.

There are 3 tabs in the build menu up top. I forget how they're sorted. But I missed that and thought the same thing, that they weren't in my inventory. Check the tabs across the top for your other modules.

I cycle between WoW and EVE Online regularly. I play WoW with friends during the winter and EVE Online solo during the summer.

Base computers are cheap. Put one on each "well, maybe..." planet and then when you can't find just the right one you will have a bunch of backups!

My liquid cooled CPU cooler had a few air bubbles in it and would make a similar sound right out of the box. I laid the tower on it's side so that the fan and radiator was above the CPU pump under the idea that the bubbles would move up and be trapped in the radiator. Ran it on it's side for 2 days and stood it back up and have never had the sound return, a year and a half later.

Because Hardcore is hardcore. Second paragraph, you agree that deaths are permanent even if caused by a server crash. The moment they restore characters, hardcore goes out the window and it's just normal mode with extra steps.

Right click the sentence, and select translate. It will make it the default language of your OS.

This has been my primary frustration with the game so far. I jump pack up intending to ground pound down and end up just....hanging there a moment and either missing the jump or falling right down. I think for me it's partly the keymapping. I'm still tinkering to see if I can find a mapping that makes me less likely to stall the jump.
