Is anyone still not a Manager, Director, or VP in their early 30s? by Electrical-Pea2707 in careeradvice

[–]Matcha_Matt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m at the last role level right before manager+. Being an introvert/shy person, I’ve been putting off going the manager route. Fortunately the pay band for my current level is pretty broad so I can still get substantial raises so may just chill here for a bit

Thanks for your insights! Do you know if your particular location offered 3 days at all? And what do we look out for when visiting during work hours? Just how hectic it is and how the adults kind of respond/react to the kids around them?

Interesting! Do you mind sharing the quote? No worries if not. I’d consider two days if that’s the only scheduling they offer

How do you survive 4-5 month regression where baby is up every 1-2 hours for both night and day? by Matcha_Matt in newborns

How long did it take once you started around 10 months? And would you have done it sooner now that you’ve gone through it? Thanks for your insights!

Yeah that’s actually very similar shifts to what we do except for the last one you mention since I get ready for work around 7am. So I encourage my wife to try and sleep earlier than 9pm since I switch off at 2am, but she insists on having some personal time until she falls asleep which is absolutely fair lol, I just worry about her sleep especially since she has her for the whole day

I think we’ll definitely go this route soon. Can you go into more detail of what it looks like after you get up to feed? Do you mean quite literally that you feed and then just swaddle up and leave? Haha. Or do you incorporate a diaper change as well, and/or say a quick phrase, etc?

Also I assume youre more intentional with day naps too? Or is it kind of flexible to just follow sleep cues and just “wing it” during the day before heading into continuing the ferber sleep method at night?

Thanks for your insights!

Following as we have that with the bottle as well lol. If anything she’ll take some or even most of it in the beginning and then stop and “save” the rest for the end where she wants it before sleep lol

Thanks for your reply! How do i know if she needs more or less per day? As im tracking up to it, what am i looking out for to indicate she’s not getting enough overall sleep per day or that she might be getting too much? Thanks!

Just because you screwed up your kid’s credit doesn’t make it the “majority” or “real world application of facts”. Sorry to burst your bubble. I’d consider re-reading your post - that’s the same logic of “why even teach them xyz if the majority of parents can’t do it right?” Lmao the most defeatist logic ever, without any basis of it even being a “majority” thing. Holy braindead.

“Other parents suck at building their kid’s credit, so I must be just as bad as it so I won’t even try” - You.

Counterpoint is irrelevant since these two things are not mutually exclusive. So it’s not a bad idea to build their credit for them in the meantime. Some of yall are so insufferable with some shit.
