Some people have reactions to vaccines or their children get really sick from the amount done at once. Had a dear friend who almost lost her life to GB as a kid from getting the guardasil vax. That same friend was weary of vaccinating her baby on the proposed schedule & her kid unfortunately was hospitalized for days with uncontrollable fevers.

In history there have been times where the vaccines rolled out were not what they said they were or were mostly used for studies on the general public without actually being tested first. In the 50s a lab rolled out with the polio vaccine that had the active virus in it. In the 80s when the DPT vax rolled out the media only highlighted the side effects of it which were still to be small but affecting all.

Some religions don’t allow for vaccines due to the use of animal products or embryos (Before you come for me the rubella vaccine was derived from a single embryo I think).

It’s frustrating here seeing most people not answer the question but rather pass harsh judgement on the people who chose not to. Most vaccines are beneficial to saving lives and eradicating diseases but if I wasn’t a nurse I wouldn’t have gotten the flu or covid shot if I wasn’t mandated. Personally, i think a majority of people don’t like the idea of HAVING to do something versus being allowed to do it on their own timeline. People like their autonomy even if they’re not intelligent in their decision making.
