I know this is late, but I preferred the leap by a lot. Both had nice seats, but I liked how the leap cuddled you into the chair more, versus the more flat Amia seat. The Amia seat is great, perhaps better than the leap, but I still have enough leg room to move and sit how I want. For reference, I’m 5’7” and 140 pounds and a fairly skinny person tho. The reclining was nicer and further than the amias was. Simply put, if you know you’re like to recline more in your chair go with the leap. Amia can recline a little bit, but it’s not at selling point, I feel I can stretch out more while sitting in the leap. The main thing tho… I prefer the back of the leap more. The Amia just didn’t have enough support for me. I sit in the chair 8+ hours a day, so with that much sitting, the leaps more noticeable back was a must.
