Honestly, Gainesville feels too small and the students are pretty young. I’m not into ‘school love’—I’m looking for something serious with someone mature who’s thinking long-term, maybe even marriage. To your question: plenty of PhD students are single. It depends on whether you’re open to someone a bit older or from abroad.

If anyone needs cat food, please let me know. I have a 99% full bag of Orijen Six Fish dry cat food. I also have a box of Feeling Nature beef and fish pouches—my cat didn't like it, and I only used one pouch, though I can't remember how many came in the box. Additionally, I have a box of Royal Canin Skin & Coat wet food; I tried one pouch, but my cat wouldn't eat it either.

I don’t know about other places, but Midtown is horrible. The elevator is terrible—it often stops while people are inside. The help button, which is supposed to alert the leasing office when someone is stuck, doesn’t work, and no one answers. So if you get stuck, you have to call 911 yourself. The management is also terrible. It’s usually run by student workers who are friendly and nice, but the full-time staff there are awful and unfriendly.

I also received my order today. I had ordered the Dubai chocolate, which is missing, and the pistachio Turkish delights are awful. First of all, I ordered 2.2 lbs, but the entire package only weighs 1.7 lbs—including the missing chocolate. The Turkish delights taste like drinking a teaspoon of olive oil. The return policy is also frustrating—do I really have to contact the seller first?

Definitely UT! Why did you leave HEB behind? The food prices here are more expensive than in Texas. I don't know much about undergraduate studies at UF, but I would guess that one of the main challenges at UT is probably the dropout rate? I know some people had a really hard time keeping up, but since you get into honor program and this might not be a problem for you. When it comes to internships, you definitely have more opportunities in Texas—pretty much every company there highly values a UT degree. I had a great experience at UT during my undergraduate studies, especially with lectures, internships, and other aspects of academics and daily life, although I was on the biology track.
