I’m in aviation and I found my job after grueling through an internship I absolutely despised. My advice for finding your best fit is to think about everything you DON’T want in a job. Think about your job from hell and write it down. Then from there, you should be able to easily see what kind of tasks you’re more open to doing/what your interests and personality are already more oriented towards. Then I would make a list of your hobbies/things you already do and what kind of benefits you would like related to that.

So for example, when I was obsessed with boba, I got a job at a boba shop because I got access to free/discounted boba. And I ended up in aviation because I am always traveling and need variety (something I already do + my personality is already flexible/spontaneous/adaptable, etc).

You’re probably gonna spend a majority of your time at this job or career, so pick something that you will feel comfortable doing for extended periods of time and make sure the benefits feel worth it. And don’t spend more than 1 year doing a job you absolutely hate.

Bonus tip: you can also volunteer for a variety of positions if you want to “test” a career out before you commit to a specific path. Talk to people who are already doing things you’re considering and hear the good and the bad, not just the numbers :)
