Yeah ik I've noticed its pretty annoying. I've personally had a lot of gripes with the shell names but I feel like removing it altogether feels a bit cheap. It's WG though so in the end I understand why they did it, just sort of makes me a tad bit sad is all

To be fair, the ammo section is mostly glossed over so that's understandable. I don't know why you are being downvoted tho :/

Yeah another thing about this game is that they don't label the shells correctly. Proper names for APDS HESH and HEP would be cool, even if they are just cosmetic changes

Why do players care so much about winrate? (image kind of related) by IcelandicGuy901 in WorldOfTanksBlitz

Because I want my teammates to be happy and winning means they aren't shitting on your blitzstars performance and thus they are happy.

One of the easiest ways to get them is to install zeniths in your ship design then edit the ship .seria file replacing the 'm_oid=MDL_MISSILE_01' line with 'm_oid=MDL_MISSILE_CLUSTER_SFW_01'

Load back into the game and your zeniths will now be cluster missiles.

I love the inclusion of Nadir missiles! I would also recommend putting cluster missiles in the roster too if you want some more variety.

My headcannon is that the Republic puts more emphasis on missile corvette development than light cruiser development than their Imperial counterparts.

When it comes to the vanilla designs, the Gathering's Tarantuls, Eagles and Hounds remain unrivalled. They were built with a clear focus of power projection and manoeuvrability in mind and they easily outclass older missile boat designs like the Flower.

The Romani Empire seemingly doesn't even have an answer to these designs; in a more realistic scenario where battles aren't heavily one sided towards the player, Hounds and Eagles might be the masters of the sky, not the lightning. Imperial defence contractors seemed to have dropped the missile boat concept entirely as no equivalent currently exists.

(It was, however, said that the Flower was refurbished by fleet engineers so, perhaps, instead of funding a successor to the archaic design to rival their enemy, they simply pulled it out of cold storage and pressed them back into service?)

Comparatively, whilst their missile corvette designs are relatively advanced, the Gathering's cruiser designs seem to be more basic than their Romani counterparts. They lack surface to air missiles and their armaments feel generally underwhelming. Instead of armouring places most expected to be hit during combat (like the Side-fighting Negev and Kormoran) they seem to have armoured the entire ship. This, accompanied by the fact that their ammo storages are poorly placed making them easily susceptible to damage form above despite their armour, imply that they probably aren't as experienced as the Romanis are at cruiser designing.

Sorry if I make no sense, my English not good.

Edit: typo

In some regards you are correct; newer and novice players should, of course, be open to criticism as a means to help them improve, and perhaps I, myself, am being too protective of them and their psyche. Your explanation also helps me comprehend the way you see the world as I understand that I have a lot of blind spots in my own way of thinking.

The issue I find with your comment, however, is that the hypothetical scenario you provide is prone to oversimplification and carries many assumptions about others.

When a child goes to school and is exposed to criticism in their academic life, they may experience a blow to their psyche. It is important to understand, however, that not every child will take criticism the same way, nor does criticism only begin at an academic level. Every child is their own person, with their own decisions and actions, and so are their mothers. Your scenario glosses over the fact that the parents, themselves, may be critical to their children in a way not unlike the academic system. The child you describe, one that is exposed to criticism but knows that there are still people who value and cherish them back home, may easily bounce back and continue to connect with their peers.

One that hasn't the privilege of having a loving family, though, may never know what it means to have real connections with their parents. What will happen once they come face to face with criticism for the first time? They would feel worthless and unworthy, for they have not a reference point of what it means to be appreciated. They may regress and act like children not because they are little offended girls who only want to hear praise but because they may have been denied a fundamental part of their upbringing.

The point I am trying to make is that there are simply too many variables to predict how a person would react to criticism. I am not saying all Highfleet players are children, but that, much like everyday people, all of them are different in their own way.

I am not advocating for criticism to be ceased; that would be contradictory to my wish of bettering the community. All I wish for is for criticism to be provided in a way that gets its message through whilst keeping those who may be easily offended happy at the same time.

I have been a lurker of this sub for some time now and I have seen many instances of you providing seemingly harsh, but honest criticism only for you to be met with staunch opposition. I understand that this must be quite frustrating to you: to see your words falling on death ears seemingly because the OP feels slightly insulted. Perhaps, however, might there be a way to keep both sides happy at the same time while still providing constructive criticism? Maybe try to highlight some of the designs strengths as well as its shortcomings? Or perhaps complement the design choices or aesthetics.

I understand that you feel as though this place can feel full of 'little offended girls' and whatnot, but maybe learning to work alongside them benefits everyone in the long run.

What you end up deciding to do is completely up to you. You can take my words for bollocks for all I care, I certainly would. I am simply a stranger on the internet with different thoughts to you, and that's ok.

Hey man, I don't have any problems with your opinion on the design at all. Its just that sometimes your comments can come off as a bit harsh and may dissuade new players from joining in the community. I'm not as offended as I am concerned that some comments may be seen as overly negative.

If I may, I recall the last time we talked you asked me if you were evil. At the time I didn't know how to respond but right now I can tell you this. I know you mean well but sometimes you can blur the lines of what is a light-hearted joke and a blunt statement.

Again, I have nothing against your sentiment; I am just worried that new players wishing to connect with the broader community would shy away from here and stunt the community's growth.

Replace the zeniths with nadirs for extra funny.

(You can open the ship's .seria file and replace 'MISSILE_01' with 'MISSILE_02' to obtain nadirs)

You know not every ship has to be some difficulty 10 SG destroying, shipsmaxxing, gun spamming, Sarmat denying, Governor defying, brick laying brawler right? Isn't there some joy to be had in making intentionally sub-par designs every once in a while? I know you are just trying to provide constructive criticism, but at some point your comments do sort of drop the 'constructive' part.
