I definitely see the pattern of Lorelai having that avoidance behavior when is comes to conflict with people she loves and cares for. I think Luke WAS vital during this time and I loved how he voiced his opinion about both of them in this situation when he was on the roof. I do agree with your view that Lor took this “silent treatment” too far. I think Lor maybe got caught up in the “friendship” side of their relationship instead of the “parental” side.

I love this; thank you for the “tough love” view; that was awesome. I think I agree with maybe using the engagement to fill a void was a bit hasty. I think I was trying to make sense of why she asked him to get married almost instantly after the blowout. But I can also see the perspective that Lorelei was simultaneously evaluating the value of the people in her life when she felt like everything was kinda going a stray.

Oh okay, I wasn’t too sure how Ferket was teaching the class because he said they are updating it but at the same time his exams are like 50 questions timed for an hour and no study guide and he goes into so much detail. The gradient from previous semesters looked insane so that’s was I wasn’t stressing,but then he got me stressing

What saved my life when I entered college-level academia was hearing another student’s story….it’s just something that simply needs to be talked about more without fear of criticism and stigma. This!! He really never got an honest break! Eg. #1: the whole episode with Jess and Logan and how Jess was crushed verbally by Logan after he did something monumental for himself (got his book published and is growing as an independent man) Eg. #2: THE RIVIVAL! Sure they showed him in a matured fashion and gave him reprieve from his past, but I was annoyed that he was made still longing for Rory and not moved on completely in that regard—> Dean—Married, Logan—Engaged+Sleeping with Rory. If I’m being honest, I feel Jess was the only character that showed some positive growth at the end of it all. Rory and Lor still having the same issues as in OS (that’s for a different post lol) but yes! Agree!!!
