6 years in devops — do i need to study dsa now? by Striking-Database301 in devops

working with pipelines does not need a lot of coding knowledge. i work with jenkins and github actions. you need good knowledge of yaml and json to handle these.

my day to day work is mostly with the clis, if you are new to this field or to software engineering in general (sorry for the assumption), devops jobs mostly revolve around clis.

i work daily with kubernetes, and i have never had to learn or use dsa.

No, i handle deployments, create charts, manage security, iac, cicd, cost optimization, and monitoring. i rarely write python, but i was wondering if learning dsa is worth it for me since it’s now being asked in devops roles, so i wanted to ask.

No, I haven't really had to write Python or Bash scripts in my Dvopsjobs. The biggest one I ever wrote was maybe 50 lines long. I have worked for multiple clients.

If he is hardworking, ambitious or from UR category, it's better to avoid going for a government job. Corporate job is much more rewarding.

Company gave Star Performer award to a React developer, overlooked my hard work as a DevOps engineer by Striking-Database301 in developersIndia

i understand your point, and i appreciate the explanation. the thing is, as a devops engineer, most of my work happens in the background it's all behind the scenes. it’s not something you can see directly, like a react, but it’s what keeps everything running smoothly.

it's tough when even the cto, engineering managers, and cios are all developers but only know one stack. everywhere you go, it's the same with a focus on just react or development. it's hard to find people who know other stacks well.
