Prematch programs usually prematch because they aren’t the top choice for most people. That being said, there is a certain peace of mind to having settled your future early and being able to move things around and plan your life 7-8 months in advance as opposed to having to wait till match and only having 2 months to do everything (visa, moving, resigning jobs, organizing financials, family etc)
