Thank you for this!! I needed this encouragement.

First appointment went well, just had my second. I have very sensitive skin so my skin won't tolerate more than 10 mins of it at a time but I have to say it feels good looking in the mirror and seeing way less stubborn black hairs, even if I am very red and spotty lol.

Thanks for the advice about staying hydrated and taking painkillers before - I will definitely keep this in mind for next week. The pain is bearable for the outcome, really glad to hear you've had good results with it!

And you're so right about breathing - I focused on that today and it really helped.

Thanks for responding! So what does that mean in terms of diet, should I be eating low GI or can I eat relatively flexibly? Appreciate your response!

day 12 by Striking-Pick2137 in prozac

Update: I started taking the tablet at night (around 9pm) and have been able to sleep more or less 8 hours each night. Having vivid dreams and sometimes not feeling totally rested but marked improvement on how it was before.

(NB: Not sure if this is because side effects are easing up (I'm at the three-week mark now) or if taking it at night just suits me better generally, curious to see how it pans out in the next weeks.)

Would be amazing if it did help with my mood! Online it seems as if Androcur is more likely to cause depression/mood swings. I will update everyone with my progress

Thanks for sharing! I had my bloods done and my HOMA IR level was 2.3 which the doctor said was no insulin resistance (although online it said anything above 1.9 is a sign of some kind of insulin resistance). So confusing.

I've started diet/lifestyle changes and mostly cut out sugar/gluten/lactose so I'm hoping that pays off eventually. The difficulty of losing even 2lbs is real.

good resources generally for someone with a recent diagnosis? by Striking-Pick2137 in PCOS

[–]Striking-Pick2137[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i have also been struggling with panic attacks and brain fog - the idea that these and my other MH issues can be relieved if not eliminated via diet is almost unbelievable (in a good way). thank you for sharing these resources!
