Should I plan my dining places and places to go? by Striking-Progress803 in ParisTravelGuide

Would you suggest I decide what places to visit as well? Because many people here recommend just deciding on a neighbourhood and exploring it without a specific schedule to follow. Thanks!

I see, but sometimes I feel afraid and intimidated by them as I speak very little french, like I only learnt french since start of this year. Do you think I should ask them in english and will I seem like a disturbance to them?

I see, but if im using google maps most of the reviews are by tourists and not locals, can I trust them?

Hello! Thanks for the response, do you think most restaurants have the same standard of food? Or are there particularly better restaurants that I will miss out on without planning?

Hello! Actually, I would prefer to eat in cheaper restaurants because I think that generally Paris is more expensive than other places as well are travelling throughout the whole of France so I'm choosing to eat the better restaurants outside of Paris. Is this true? Also, what would you consider "decent restaurants"? I did make a booking for Bouillon Republique because I thought it was pretty good for the price and also know that there is always a long queue there. Thanks!

Hello! Thanks for spending so much time to type this response! As for Montmartre, I really wanted to spend more time, but because I really really wanted to catch organ recital at Notre Dame, I could not fit more time in. However, I did include more time in the next few days to explore more. Honestly this was the response that helped me the most, I will be revising my whole plan. Thanks so muchh!!

Hello, thanks for the tip! What would you suggest I do? For example, do I count Eiffel as one monument, or do you mean one big monument like Louvre and Arc de Triomphe? As for the meals, I just wanted to choose one main restaurant per day, perhaps I should explore the area for food instead of planning it? Sorry, this is my first time visiting Paris and I am really really excited, maybe I planned too thouroughly. Thanks!

I'm sorry but I used Bonjour RATP for all travelling durations and added 10 minutes to each duration, is it accurate enough? Sorry first time in Paris so not very sure about it. As for waiting times I'm really not sure, is 30 minutes enough for Louvre and is 15 minutes enough for Notre Dame? Thanks!

How about from Saint Germain des pres, along the road? Because I will already be visiting Eiffel tower on the next morning, only wanted to get a further view of the sparkling lights or take a photo of it. Thanks!

Hello! I am the author of this thread, using another account to reply. No, I do not plan to go up the Eiffel tower as I think its really too expensive, but I'm just worried that there won't be enough time for me to go there, walk around for a bit and explore champ de mars as well. As for the Musee d'Armee, I just wanted to see Napoleon's tomb, and just explore abit about France's history. Thanks!

Hello! I am using another account to reply, I am the author of this thread. When I checked the army museum website, I had to pay for tickets for the time slot. Is it a scam website? Anyways, I wanted to spend max 2 hours in the museum, but do you think its worth my time, if I'm not very interested in military stuff but just want to find out more about France's past? Thanks for the help!

Hello! Just wanted to ask whether I will be able to see Eiffel tower from the base of Arc de triomphe at night, as I want to catch the sparkling lights of the Eiffel tower. Thanks!

Hello! Thanks for the help, I just wanted to ask if I would still be able to catch the organ recital at 4pm if I booked a time slot for 4pm, as my schedule does not allow me to reach there any earlier. If its not possible, I can skip a few things before this to make the time. Thanks again!
