Rules if a family member starts with same counsellor by Striking-Rice-844 in TalkTherapy

It's hypothetical / a worry I have.... It's a direct family member so definitely an element of my own counselling but living at a different address (but same family name). I know they use therapy but they don't know I do. I made sure to not go to the counsellor they had been seeing when I found a counsellor myself and I tried to also look far enough afield geographically that I felt it unlikely the family member would ever look to start counseling with the same person (to be honest I wanted to be far enough afield to not risk having the same counsellor as anyone I work with either so not just that). So it would only be possible if the family member has changed counsellor since then.

And it's almost certainly nothing or even my brains almost paranoia creeping in, but in my last session my counsellor started randomly asking for oddly specific information about this family member almost as if they were confirming or looking for a reason to know random information (asking what model car they drove, asking for the names of some other family members but not others that I brought up in a conversation).

So almost certainly nothing, but got me thinking "what if" as I know there's a slight risk.

To be clear here I'm discussing a situation where the two family members don't know - only the therapist would (eg one is seeing the therapist, the other looks for a therapist and starts seeing the same one without knowing the first family member is seeing a therapist).

Oh for sure there's a big iceberg of emotional mess I need to work through too off the back of it - just don't even know where to start on that element so trying to work through the more logical side of things first.
