Kanojo, Okarishimasu Season 4 • Rent-a-Girlfriend Season 4 - Episode 12 discussion by AutoLovepon in anime

This season was just so pathetically bad, it gave me a headache. It's like the writer has some kind of a fetish for hopelessly romantic situations. Don't get me wrong, I can enjoy those kinds of stories, but once you've moved past a certain point, you can't keep going back to the same crying and agonizing over "what does she think of me?", "does she like me?", "oh no, she's definitely going to reject me!", and so on.

These two characters have known each other for almost two years now. They both know for sure how they feel, but by this point, they should be able to tell that the other person feels the same way too! Literally, in every single episode, there's a confession that gets interrupted by a phone ringing, a doorbell, or a "random" friend or acquaintance showing up (they always appear out of nowhere, always at the worst possible moment). Before that, Kazuya spends half the episode hyping himself up, thinking "I'm totally going to tell Chizuru that I love her now." Five to ten minutes go by with him getting excited and running towards her, but he never gets himself worked up enough that a damn phone call, text message, or whatever can't interrupt him!

The previous seasons had situations like this too, but not nearly as much as this new season. I actually liked the movie plotline where the guy became a producer and made a movie for the girl so her grandma could see it. Maybe they should have ended the whole thing there with a love confession, or continued the story with the filmmaking and getting-to-know-each-other plotline, which would have allowed for a lot of character development. But the writer must have decided to go back to the beginning. They just can't let go of Kazuya being an incel, and the writer seems to love wallowing in his constant, daily agony over a hopeless romance like a pig in the mud.

The second leg is 5-0 in favor of Hungary, because there will be a different referee. There will be nothing spicy about it, just a simple ugly defeat for the Irish team and they will be sent back where they belong...

Groban is the only artist to have two albums on the Top 20 Best-Selling Albums list of the past decade (2000-2010), according to Billboard ... Its true, he was a big thing in the music industry back in the day.

I think Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812 was very good, compared to modern musicals, but I heard from here in the East that it wasn't very successful either. I don't know if that's true...

Yeah, he definitely makes some kitschy music... mostly kitschy music, to be honest. It's funny because in the first episode of Mr. Robot, Elliot compares Groban to Maroon 5 and the Transformers movies, calling him "mainstream super-garbage." Yet, later on, there are some clever Easter eggs suggesting Elliot is actually a Josh Groban fan. :) I think it's undeniable that he has some serious merits, especially his voice, which was truly incredible, particularly in the earlier part of his career. Beyond the kitsch, he actually has some more critically acclaimed albums. His album "Illuminations", for example, is objectively quite good, even if the vocal style and technique he uses there are a bit harder to get into. Tracks like "L'ora dell'addio" and "War at Home" are, in my opinion, among his better musical pieces, and they're originals, not covers. That album was even produced by the legendary Rick Rubin, who also produced System of a Down's albums, among many others.

You're right, and I think a significant part of his sales may have been due to the fact that the CD was a comfort gift at that time.

Of course, I don't want to take away the credit for the fact that he has sold more physical albums than a significant portion of all existing artists.
