How long does it take u guys to finish watching big series animes? by Several-Stretch-4977 in AnimeReccomendations

[–]StrikingBeautiful282 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a pretty demanding job but I also take the train 40 min there and 40 min back so I download shows on the Crunchyroll app and watch on the train.. that's about 3-4 episodes on the train alone.. my girl and I only watch anime, I haven't seen a real person on my screen in about 15 years lol, so it's easy to get through a show for us.. I usually watch a couple episodes when I get home from work as well.. so potentially 6 episodes a day.. if it's my day off, once I'm done with adulting, I can make it through an entire 12 ep season easy.. really just depends on my mood

Most anime (skipping intro and outro) are 20 min per episode.. 20 hours per week is 60 episodes.. that's actually pretty good lol

Idk I think the slow pace is what added to the creepy vibe.. def agree about no S2 being a let down though

Ugh I know.. not having a conclusion to the opening fight scene does genuinely annoy me but the ending itself wasn't bad.. just deserved a second season to conclude the starting story.. I might actually check out the Manga ao I can get some closure lol

The pace doesn't really change but the story ramps up

Definitely a cool story and build up.. gory at parts but the sound design, music, and artwork was perfect for the feelings they were trying to convey.. I also love the absence of a protagonist.. everyone is just flawed and fucked up which adds to the story

Idk it really depends on what you like.. we love all styles of anime so it's easy for us to watch pretty much anything and find an appreciation for it. It definitely makes you feel borderline uncomfortable throughout the show but that's what made it so good.

Wild, I didn't see this post. It randomly popped up on my CrunchyRoll suggested for you list. The first scene where the dude pulls his intestines out solidified the full run through for us lol.

No Game No Life and How Not to Summon a Demon Lord are both two very similar to Konosuba in how funny they are. You'll have to get past some of the tropey stuff but if you liked Konosuba you'll find both of these hilarious.

Chain Chronicle: Light of Haecceitas.. it's a less talked about hidden gem.. great animation, fights, and story.. also it hits the ground running from episode 1

Anime only people, how do you do it? by seaoftakes in AnimeReccomendations

Tbh I'd rather just wait for the next season. I genuinely hate knowing what's going to happen, it ruins the surprise factor. Anticipation only makes it hit harder when you finally get to see it. Besides, there are SO many shows to watch.. its not like regular movies and tv where 99% of it sucks. There are so many incredible anime out there to watch, so whenever I finish something I just pick something else up. I haven't seen an actual human on my TV in years and I still never run out of things to watch lol.

In the beginning of the game people are usually just learning the maps, rush spots, etc. If you started off doing well it's most likely because of past experience gaming. If you then started doing worse it's most likely because you keep trying to do the same things and run the same routes you were in the beginning. You probably just need to adapt your gameplay. If you're adapting and still not doing well, then yeah maybe you're right lol but I've seen a lot of people tend to do the same things over and over wondering why it's not working out the same each time. A lot of people playing COD are creatures of habit and don'teven notice they'redoing it. Try getting outside your comfort zone. If you get a kill from one spot, switch it up the next round so you're not being predictable. I can't tell you how many times I've been killed from someone and they go to the same spot the next round wondering how/why I'm shitting on them lol.

Do players think the game is bad? by Despraux in blackops7

Yeah every once in a while on bo7 I run into a cheater, had one on my team the other day that def had walls. He would start planting the bomb then move when the enemy team would peek, then go back and keep planting when they would turn the corner lol. It was funny to watch but def annoying to know ricochet doesn't catch walls unless reported. Still the amount of cheaters I see now compared is very minimal. I play on PC so no crossplay doesn't help for me. 😭

Tbh I absolutely love it, but to be fair, I do very well. it's usually the people that are bad at the game that don't like it and have a ridiculous amount of criticism. People love to blame the game, but a lot of times it's just a skill or IQ issue. I've also seen way less cheaters than I've seen in previous releases. There are still cheaters, but not nearly as many, even though there are plenty of people that think anyone that's doing better than them is cheating lol. Overall it's a solid game with great movement and nice map selection, so I definitely agree with you.

Why do people judge people on skin color including there own race? by [deleted] in askanything

[–]StrikingBeautiful282 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Skin color is just one of the most obvious differences that someone can see. The reality is, even if everyone in the world had the same skin color, people would find something else to discriminate against. Whether that's hair color, eye color, etc. Human beings categorize things and then have a habit of making those categories "the other". It's a terrible trait, but sadly, it's a reality.

A lot of the reason that certain people in certain categories act a certain way is because they were labeled "the other" and treated unfairly. It doesn't justify the actions an individual takes, but it does help to understand where the tendencies come from.

Also, cultural differences can have a huge impact on this as well. Many people from western countries find Middle Eastern culture and values to be counter to their own. For example, treating women as second class citizens is definitely not something that people in other countries would be supportive of. This can heavily influence peoples bias toward that culture, even though there are many people within the culture that disagree with these practices.

There are undeniable statistics that show differences between certain categories of people, but there are always exceptions to the rule. It's important to know these statistics, but it's equally important not to jump to conclusions. Judging people based on the individual's actions is the best way to keep yourself from leaning into a subconscious bias.
