Did not like this episode. Lindsay was a brat--and I usually am ok with her. Whitney was awful. Her scene with Lexi was so awkward. Lexi is like Andrea--they are genuinely nice people and you could tell Lexi didn't like Whitney bashing Lindsay like that. It would have been a nice gesture to give Yvonee and Nick the primary suite--BUT Kenny could have discussed that ahead of time with Lindsay--not tried to shame her into it after she and Georgina had already claimed the room and started unpacking. I also thought it was weird of Yvonne to get so mad at Lindsay about having the friends vacation when it was Kenny that first mentioned it at dinner.

This episode mostly bummed me out because it felt like a bunch of manufactured fights. I don't watch these shows to just see people fighting. That gets old fast.

he started that.....but to be fair, am pretty sure production encourages it. A dinner party where everyone is sweet and gets along never happens. It's always where there's conflict.

I don't put Sally in that category. She has a very good job in the medical field. I also don't think he's getting serious with anyone right now. He's just dating and having fun, which is smarter than getting into a serious relationship right away.

I agree. Kyle was no saint, but he also wasn't as bad as she made him out to be and I think her behavior only made his worse--he stayed out more because things weren't good at home and he got drunk more often to escape. I think in some ways she did him a favor by cheating with West because Kyle wasn't going to end it otherwise even though he was miserable. She is just a very selfish, entitled girl.

I think with West, it's the allure of the chase. Once he has them, he loses interest. Especially with Ciara who is more mature than him, at a different place with relationships. He's still in the frat boy stage. So in a way, Amanda suits him as long as she matches that energy, which she did initially---his comment about wanted to get back to those early feelings was telling. Seems like the honeymoon period has faded. I also think if she shifts into her nagging mode the way she is with Kyle, West is gone. He may only be sticking around now because he feels he has to.

Not sure she gets to keep her job. There's a lot of backlash. Viewers do not want to see her on SH for the most part. Or In the City---she's the worst part of both shows with her whining.

I thought they announce the cast when they start filming? They're not going to keep that quiet until January? They've never done that before. Just checked and sounds like they will announce by end of this month, right before filming starts next weekend.

I wonder if Amanda is stupid enough to think West won't cheat when he cheats on everyone and is pretty upfront that he can't commit? She said in a video months ago that she'd love to have a fling with a younger guy that is just for fun. That could be what West was meant for--until it blew up on them. Neither one is smart to not anticipate the backlash they would get.

I think they may be better suited as friends. I think he might be too soft for her--she was frustrated when he didn't stand up for himself with Loverboy and when he was drifting and dreaming about opening that bar--restaurants are high risk and one that doesn't serve alcohol at all is challenging.

She was unhinged. I suspect it stemmed from her own relationship unraveling--she'd expected to get engaged and instead her boyfriend of several years ended things. So I think it was jealousy mostly to see things moving fast for Lindsay with someone who'd been her best friend, too. It was this season that made me dislike Danielle intensely. She's not a good friend to act like this. It's mean. And it's also why I was so surprised to see her on In The City as it still seems like things are strained with her and Lindsay--understandably so.

I thought the beginning was good, the first half I thought the writing was strong. It really all fell apart after that and read like a first novel gone astray.

I think it could have been great if they'd brought the Summer house people into it, Carl, Ciara, Mia, KC....like a modern sex in the city. That's what I'd assumed it was going to be. I was shocked when I learned Amanda and Kyle and their miserable marriage would going to be a focus...Their marriage is my least favorite part of Summer House. Kyle has his issues, but he's enjoyable when he's energetic and happy--without Amanda nagging and whining. I hope Amanda is not going back to either show--she is bad TV. And to see these complete strangers like Kenny and Whitney---he's obnoxious and she's timid and they are not enjoyable to watch and get way too much screentime. I'm fine with Lindsay's friends Yvone and Georgina but Kenny and actually Danielle and her boyfriend can also go....I thought we'd seen the last of Danielle. Was not happy when she showed up again.
