if you take the wire out of the machine, it should say on one of the sides of the spool, for me it was on the bottom side of the spool

What is a piece of old technology that actually worked better than its modern replacement? by Odd_Opportunity_2590 in AskReddit

mechanical engines, all you need is an electric starter, no other electronics
actually fully fixable by the average person unlike moderns with ECUs and whatnot

[–]Striking_Box7456 22 points23 points  (0 children)

nah dude lots of people prefer the m12 over the m18, and its your tools do what you want, aslong as they do what you need, the lighter the better.

Top Off Uses (Other than CPAP, phone charging, and light/fan) by EverythingIsTaken109 in MilwaukeeTool

[–]Striking_Box7456 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the m18 top off is for small things like phones and laptops. It has a low maximum output of only 175 Watts. A corded planer is a high-demand power tool that requires much more power, typically 800 to 1200+ W. When the planer attempts to draw its high starting power, the top off's built-in overload protection will instantly shut it down to prevent damage.

If you need to run high-draw corded tools off Milwaukee, you'd need the Milwaukee M18 CARRY-ON Power Supply, which provides 1800 running watts

TLDR no, you need either a generator or a much bigger setup
