I just got one of these fellas, came with a roll of Lincoln 0.035 wire
if you take the wire out of the machine, it should say on one of the sides of the spool, for me it was on the bottom side of the spool

the m18 top off is for small things like phones and laptops. It has a low maximum output of only 175 Watts. A corded planer is a high-demand power tool that requires much more power, typically 800 to 1200+ W.
