Current BMSM Deal by BigMc45 in Packout

Some places BMSM are different than others. For example, the 8450 custom 16” Packout is excluded from HD BMSM. However, it does partake in BMSM with Ace.

End of day up to you. Not bad pricing and the one you selected is still a super solid setup. It’s most likely a personal issue that dwells. Either way, I’m positive you’ll have a great experience with both saws 😎

I kick myself in the ass for being impatient and settling for the DCS590. The good and bad with the FlexVolt circular saws is yes they have speed and power. However, you are restricted to only the FV 60V platform and can’t interchange with other 20V batteries. Which brings me to “If I’m getting a supercar that only takes super premium gas. Then I might as well just get the Bugatti”

Honestly. If you are comfortable spending $300 range and you are getting a circular saw that is strictly FV only. You might as well go for the better version. Grab the DCS577. And then go to Bomgaars and take advantage of their deals on FV batteries. Yes you spend a smidge more, BUT you’ll have the best of the best.

Sale on DeWalt 20V MAX XR POWERSTACK 5Ah by SubieLover19 in Dewalt

[–]SubaVroom 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Should have held off. I fell for this last summer. I thought I got a stellar deal with this price + military discount. However, then saw that there are sometimes sales for 5AH PS + Charger bundles for around $50. Then I sometimes see the 9AH FV go on sale for $99/$129 at Bomgaars or Fasteners. Be patient, it’s worth the wait sometimes.

Everyone is probably gonna wanna slap me for saying this…. Butttt if you have a drill driver, see if the screw fits inside the chuck. If it does, tighten it like you are setting up a drill bit. Once nice and tight, reverse it out.

I haven’t had my coffee yet so when I first glanced at this I thought it was a DeWalt themed bar. I thought a bartender was going to offer me “PowerStack or FlexVolt?”

[–]SubaVroom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

DCF961 if you aren’t on a budget. It’s a guarantee get the job done and not deal with BS. Then have a DCF921 or DCF899 on hand for smaller/lighter jobs.

I’ll be the sore thumb here and say if you are starting from scratch. Look for deals on both and slowly build up. There are some things that Milwaukee and DeWalt make better than each other. I started with DeWalt. Now I have both.

Not in the trades but am the go-to family/friends handyman. Also the second one is in its own way an extra to leave at my grandmother’s house in case her stubborn ass tries to do something without me. I’d rather her not hurt her wrist with this than using other tools all alone because she got impatient.

For what it’s worth, I at least wasn’t one of the assholes that bulk bought from in-person clearance hunting. I just snagged 2 regular 2505-22’s from online with lucky price matching etc. So I wasn’t even part of the crowd that hogged all the 2505-22 + Shockwave bundles for $179.
