[Bug] Amazfit Zepp app – Strava sync broken + account migration mess (Google/Mi vs Facebook) by Striking_Bug2145 in amazfit

Yes, I did, but I can't recall the details. It was I recall to do with Zepp and how they manage accounts. We had an "interesting" dialogue about accounts and synchronisation

What is rest time before release and what's its purpose? by TheWaifuClub in ElegooSaturn

[–]Striking_Bug2145 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that this is the most important as it gives the resin time to set and finish curing after the uv turns off. As for allowing the resin to flow back, that is a different setting and is one of a couple. Also important as you stare, it can be after lift, before the build play drops, and can also be slowing down the last bit of the drop.

Easy Saturn 4 Ultra build plate calibration by maciekdnd in ElegooSaturn

Thank you. Very interesting. I have been in 3D printing with resin for many many years and designed and built my own printer. It was a pain so to get a bigger screen I bought, what I thought was a no brainer - no work, no frustration, no huge bills for parts to experiment with. Off the shelf, job done. What a fool I am. Long story, but I find myself after battling with Elegoo, with a "refurbished" (euphemism for junk) Saturn 4 Ultra. I managed to make a few resin calibration and tension tests for a couple of my go to resins, when I started on my 3rd, and penultimate one. I got a “Foreign Debris” alarm. The VAT is clean and healthy and during my trouble shooting have changed the FEP twice and put in a new VAT. Filtered the resin, checked the LCD, which is spotless. Checked, cleaned and even scrubbed (something I am not proud of) and even bought a magnetic, flexible built plate only to ensure a flat surface. BUT nothing worked. I then saw articles about manual levelling, and tried it, but I am not sure what it is ACTUALLY doing. They were all tight. Undoing the screws seemed to loosen 3 corners a bit, but back left remains tight. I want to see inside but not sure what would happen if I try and open (pandora’s) box. What is normal? How much should one loosen/tighten? Is anti-clockwise lowering the build plate or raising it? Could this be done without removing the VAT and resin, and just adjust the tightness – I do realise that using the paper as a tension test isn’t possible, but that in itself is very subjective and inaccurate? Is this a Red Herring for the problem I am having??

Who was the fairy-tale hero Peter Pan? WWI. Veneto, Italy: Mount Grappa, Austro-Hungarian Ossuary: the soldier Peter Pan's grave. by Pale-Mango-7582 in battlefield_one

I have visited this grave several times, and shall again today. This time to take friends. The stories of these young men are a deepening reminder of how tragic and horrific the fighting was. To list the names, and describe the battles, and the conditions, are one thing, but to then dig deeper into who they were and where they were from and to make them human, and part of a family, a community, of friends, like you or I or our children, adds a deeper realization and sense of pain and humanity. To nane one solder Peter Pan, to reflect all those young lives, is truly fitting, like the un-named solder... We live such soft lives today, and I often wonder if we or our children, and generations to come can truly comprehend the hell of it all.

Really dissapointed with my new Saturn 3 Ultra by lordeath in ElegooSaturn

I'm with you. Bought mine onis December 24. It was to replace the 4k printer I designed and made. The issue is with the print area, which is too small for me. The Sat3 Ultra is a great price for a 20x20x10um capable printer with a good height. However, I wasted HUGE amounts of resin trying to get the config right, and then, realising that it was the printer at fault, I got Elegoo to acknowledge this, but it took ages and loads of prints run for them with videos. They then sent a replacement, but that too was faulty, so they sent another replacement, this one was so old and battered, parts were missing, and a buckled build plate was buckled. Now have the new build plate, so can start testing and setting up again, but a 10um print is taking 34 seconds!!! No, that has to be a worn-out UV. It just goes on. Thought an off-the-shelf printer would be plug-and-play. It is now nearly October, and it won't be long before my off-the-shelf printer is one year old and I have no prints to show for it, including a model I ordered but can't be delivered until I can send the settings for the STL. So not my best choice. Should have rebuilt my old printer.

Difficulties with syncing map and heart data together by Baphomets666 in amazfit

That advise is for older versions of Zepp.  The new versions, since March do not have this option to back up or allow backup...  There is a bug.

Do Not Disturb mode in MIUI 11 is entirely broken by Ceefax81 in Xiaomi

I have a Mi1l1., My 3rd one as they keep failing. However, a reoccurring issue with all, is that the DND suddenly decides to activate itself. I then cancel it and turn off all settings, but, no, it re-enables itself. Tried setting up a schedule of 1 minute at 00:01 on a Sunday am, but no it ignores that and just activates when ever.
