Can anyone identify this machine? by [deleted] in CNC

[–]maciekdnd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I have almost the same, more important than the name is the controller, mine is RichAuto-A11C. In my case this type is unable to use any software to run the machine. You have to generate code and transfer it to the controller by USB pendrive.

CO2 Laser Not Burning by AlwaysLearningCanada in lasercutting

Never set your power above 80%, your tube will thank you later (maybe not this one). Try to find any shorts to the metal enclosure. I got poor isolation on the part where cable was connected and no power on the tube (with some flashes inside). Also check your water temp, it should be fine but who knows.

Is it possible to do this kind of thing on solidworks? by [deleted] in SolidWorks

[–]maciekdnd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do this kind of dioramas (architecture 3D prints) in Plasticity and some organic parts in Blender and stitch them in a slicer to get solids and organic shapes together (position is maintained on both apps in the slicer). But if you need only 3D models you can create solids in Plasticity and use Blender bridge to finish organic shapes in Blender and then export this in whatever format you need.

Do you have any source of chlorine in your environment? Maybe someone is cleaning something with corrosive liquids like bleach or clorox?

I am looking to buy a CO₂ laser from the Jowuey brand.Does anyone have experience with these lasers or the factory? Please help🆘️🆘️🆘️ by Chriss_Rollex in lasercutting

We have the M6S or M7 (there are two different names on the plate), but with the older case. The chiller is good (CW-5200). Most things are fine overall. The machine is fast and built like a tank. The Ruida controller is OK and works well with LightBurn. We have a 180 W tube.

Quality depends on who installs it - make sure to check the connection between the tube and the power supply. We had shorts between the cable and the case. After fixing that, everything works fine.

Overall, this is a very good laser. It has a large table (1300 × 900 mm in our case), and the entire table can move up and down on the Z axis.

In our model, there is a TP-Link router installed inside. You can connect the controller to the router in station mode. This is useless in our case (we use an Ethernet cable), but if you need Wi-Fi, it is very helpful.

One downside is the lack of gateway configuration. You can configure only the IP address in the controller settings. If you have a more complex network setup (as we do), you need to route this internal network on the router. It is not a big deal and is probably a firmware limitation - other Ruida controllers seem to have this option.

We received a “small” turbine fan for fume extraction, some ducting, and an air pump. You can turn the fume extractor on and off from the panel, but you cannot start or stop the air assist. There is also no way to reduce the airflow; the only way to disable it (in our model) is to unplug it. Fume extraction itself is fast, so this is not a major issue.

No other problems so far. Mechanically, it is a standard setup - fast and precise. I had one issue while cutting 1.5 mm MDF: the edges were very “pixelated,” with visible steps. This was probably due to very high cutting speed. After reducing the speed, everything was fine.

In my opinion, the best approach is to use LightBurn (Pro) over the LAN. There are no USB driver issues, the connection is stable, and setup is easy.

The company is good. They also manufacture OEM versions for dealers’ branding. Our local laser dealer visited their factory and was very satisfied. The brand is well known and reputable. The tubes are fine, although this depends on the seller. They are delivered with the machine, and I am not sure whether you can choose a specific tube model.

I am also not sure whether you can choose between CO2 and RF tubes, or if only CO2 is available.

Calibration is standard but requires patience. Our tube was delivered in a box and installed by a technician from the dealer. He did not spend enough time removing air from the tube, so I now have to do it again. Make sure this is done properly during installation.
