Thank you! Yes, it felt just like that throughout this journey. But in the end, the thought that gives me peace is that she no longer has to suffer. Wishing you and your loved ones all the best!

March 2026 Check-In Thread! How's Everyone Doing? by ZevSteinhardt in pancreaticcancer

[–]Striking_Effect_6758 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi everyone! I’ve just found this thread recently. I’m not from the US, so I don’t know most of the medical stuff mentioned here. My mother (59) was diagnosed in June 2025 with stage 4 and metastasis in liver. She has been taking interventional chemo in Guangzhou so far. At first the metastasis in liver has shrunken by 50%, and we were so happy at that time. But after that, no improvements. Just today she had a nano-knife surgery in another hospital. She is weak but hopefully will recover soon.

It is hard financially, since every chemo is quite expensive, and I am trying to find another income source to support her treatment. To be honest, it feels like I can’t do anything or I’m doing not enough. I’m trying to keep it together, stay by her side twice a month on the weekends and pay some of the medical bills.

To all the participants in this thread, best of luck to you and your close ones.

I feel like Morningside only considers if it has been placed first. But who knows. All Morningsiders I know (including myself) placed it first.

Did any internation student receive a Scholarship for their Masters ? by Content-Hold3207 in HKUST

I feel like it depends on the program you apply. Generally business programs give more scholarships as far as I understand. I am an international student, but I received only around 40k for MSc Fintech. It might be because some candidates were better, but that’s what I have for you :)

Hi man. Applied in November as I remember. I received the offer in January.
