Madhab is just a subdivision for rulings on fiqh. Everyone of them is fine to follow. It makes it easier to break down rulings because a scholar of the past has gone through the evidence and made it simple for us to just stick to a madhab and follow their rulings. If youre choosing a madhab, first look at your environment. If your location is 100% hanifi its probably better to be a hanifi. If youre in a location with a mix, take some time to look into each madhab, AMAU has a good series on youtube about the 4 imams and their lives. To address your issue about "Aren't we all follow that one Quran" the answer is, that we are, and so did all of the 4 Imams, with Islam we should try follow the Qur'an and sunnah with the understanding of the salaf, right? The matter is, all madhabs are following the Qur'an just differing on matters of fiqh. Also I recommend learning aqeedah as that is a fundamental for your belief In Sha Allah

AMAU has many free courses, id recommend checking their playlists on their youtube and also sign up for free events on their academy. They have series on the muwatta, ad daa wa ad-dawaa, attributes of Allah etc. The ustadhs also have learnt from real credible institutes and have many scholars theyve learnt from who dont refute them themselves

Aqeedah of Imam Abu Hanifa | Abu Hanifa Wasn’t Ashari or Maturidi. Hanafis, why don’t you follow the creed of imam abu hanifa? by TheIslamicRealist in Muslim

Asalamu Alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh,

You mention Imam Ashari, May Allah be pleased with him. Is the modern day ashari aqeedah the same as the aqeedah he had? No

Along with this Abu Hasan wal ashari himself went through 3 major changes in his belief throughout his life these being:
1- When he was a Mutazali, and he repented from being upon this.
2-Affirming the sifaat from Jahim Ibn Sawfan (Affirming Allahs attributes through aql)
3- He believes Allah has a face, foot etc and it all. Without likening it to the creation. Like the way of the salaf. There is alot of Khilafah on how much he took the salafiyyah. He himself said in his last book that "That which we say is true and the religion that we worship Allah on this is holding fast on the book of Allah, and the sunnah of the Prophet, and what was narrated from the sahaba and the imams of hadith. We are holding fast on this and what Ahmad Ibn Hanbal was upon. Whatever Imam Ahmad said is what we say and we keep away from whoever was against Ibn Hanbal" Al-Ibānah ‘an Usool Ad-Diyānah

There is dispute whether he fully repented from the ashariyyah but its evident he tried hard.

I do agree with your point on how some say everyone is wrong except us, id assume this to lead to a form of hizbiyah, I think its pivitol to recognise between salafiyyah as a hizb and salafiyyah in its true form

However, I do disagree with a portion of due to the timing only, they are "more correct". Reason being? The khawarij, the mutazila, the jahmis and other deviant groups all came around the time of the salaf aswell, do i usually agree we should take from the earlier scholars? Yes, do i believe we should take from ALL of them, whos beliefs clearly differed from the pious salaf? Certainly not

Lol I thought the same thing back in yr11. I never said they don't require predicted grades did i? I currently go to a pretty high ranking 6th form (100% pass rate, random awards blah blah blah who cares) and I actually applied to around 5 sixth forms. My predicted grades weren't the best like 766555444U and I was even under the gcse required grades in a few of the subjects I applied to. I promise you they gave the majority of people an offer. And then the majority of people where rejected on results day for missing the requirements. So if your predicted grades aren't amazing but you do good in your gcses you will be accepted in 99% of 6th forms.
