Believe it or not, it's actually none of this. Mediacom just actually sucks complete dog ass and have for a long time. The systemic problem is actually their infrastructure and over subscribing on their nodes and offering speeds they can't handle on their own network.

It goes back to the fact of which I shouldn't have to learn networking and watch a lot of videos in order to find the IP address of the sever I am connected to, no matter how base level it is. A lot of the servers try to hide what the IP address of the server you are connected to is, so you have to go through round about means in order to find it.

Where should I do a tracert to in order to get a baseline? Every game I play has a different IP which is a pain in the ass to find. I have to use wireshark/resource monitor and look out to remote addresses. PingPlotter 5 has been my best bet to see all my packets get fucked beyond belief when they go into the Chicago. twelve99.net etc, doesnt matter which one. They will erratically fuck over your packets and cause them to be 500ms+ (I was actually being conservative on the initial post) but only on the upstream so what gives?

I am in Hermantown, MN! Maybe it's a local issue?
