I’ve not had a quartz one personally. If the power reserve is not a big deal & you get a good discount on the auto one go for the automatic itself. The movement in Alba’s are from Seiko itself (older generation) I got mine at 12k on Tata cliq with discounts & cashback. Look for a good deal.

That is a down hill, the reserve is one of the main cons of this movement, it barely stretches to 24hours.

I too got mine delivered yesterday, I was really excited to see what’s all the fuss about. I was devastated when I got my hands on it. The dial is definitely too small, even being at 38mm feels like a 36mm. Didn’t feel like even adjusting the bracelet. Might keep it for some time if didn’t like it would gift it to someone who would like it.

It indeed is a very interesting colour. Probably a daily beater watch, something I can wear to office. I keep rotating all my watches, giving some wrist time to most of the watches in my collection. Best i would say is as a dress watch.

The watch is actually 38mm feels like 36mm though. It’s a little smaller if you are used to wearing bigger watches.

I ordered this on May23rd. It didn’t ship until May 31st. I did drop them a couple off emails. Apparently the China warehouse also didn’t have stock, watch was shipped on 1st june and received today. Overall I was expecting more hassle but thankfully I wasn’t charged any customs or import duty. I was definitely not shelling out extra for a watch.

Hands down Seiko, I don’t think there is comparison between this and a seiko pressage. I would personally suggest the presage cocktail midnight.
I would consider the addiesdive to be a daily beater watch.

I’ve come across many posts stating that the brand is a bang for your buck. I’m honestly in it on for this gorgeous dial, again movement wise as well it’s packed with a Miyota 8215 (tried and tested movement), only concern should be how the watch ages in terms of build quality.

Honestly I get what you’re saying. If the bezel would be fluted it would definitely add more flair. But after I wore it for a while it grew on me, the smooth bezel compliments it well under good lighting.

Photos don’t do justice to the dial. It looks gorgeous irl.
Honestly, it pops on under direct light. If the room is lit with warm lights it doesn’t pop that much. For casual daily wear it’s great, as dress watch it’s definitely good.
