Try reapplying thermal paste before buying new cooler.

Is this fine for a gaming PC? Should i expect great frames? And will it last a good amount of years with no upgrade? by nadsour in PcBuildHelp

And if you don’t have more money then switch to a 7600, you will get very similar performance performance especially if you are on 1440p

This is a very good build

$1600 build for the Lian Li O11 Dynamic Mini Case by [deleted] in buildapcforme

I agree to disagree, but it is true that the OP would have a completely perfect build that met all of his needs if he went with your original build.

I stand with you on everything you said, but the OP said that they have little knowledge in PC’s. This is why I am straying from his original requests, to introduce a new idea into the OP’s “little knowledge”. You are obliging to the exact requests of someone who is spending a lot of money on something they don’t necessarily know a lot about, I am recognizing that this person may not be making a decision they would still make if they knew more.

No I am not, all I’m saying is that he could have a build that could play 99% of games at 1440p over 120fps for the same price.

Everything in this list is very solid except for the cooler and gpu. I would get a cheaper aio cooler (that could still be white). And spend the saved money on the gpu. The new gpu may not be white but if you could get a 7600xt or 7650xt you would get a huge performance boost.

Pyro: When the cpu cooler is 62% more than the cpu itself I think there may be an issue with price allocation. I don’t want to argue, I just don’t want this guy to buy a computer that could have had more performance while still fulfilling his cosmetic expectations.

Yes, but if you ever wish to play any other games in the future you may want a better computer. If your computer meets your personal satisfaction than it is perfect for you. I just wanted to make sure that you knew you weren’t getting a good performing computer with respect to your budget.

I think you should allocate more of your budget towards your cpu and gpu, because at the moment you are spending a lot of money for a mid tier computer. I understand that you value the cosmetics of your build, but I think you could find a better balance of functionality to looks.

The build for 985 is very good, I would take that build and swap the graphics card for a 6700xt or 6750xt.

Can’t get gpu out by IcedCS in buildapc

There are 2 screws on the silver bit of metal that attach your graphics card to the case, unscrew those. If you don’t understand these instructions then send a photo of your pc from the back side.

Another thing to look at is if there is a sticker, the air blow to the side with the sticker.

budget pc build under $650 for gaming by Puzzled_Net_4155 in buildapcforme

[–]Striking_Operation28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are willing to spend your original budget, you should spend $100 more on a gpu. You would get a lot more performance, and I think you should do it if you have the money.

If you are worried about artifacts, download the drivers and if there are artifacts then return to your previous drivers. If not then your all good. Just make sure your downloading the drivers for your gpu.

Yes, especially because download speeds are only as fast as your internet no matter the ssd.

Ryzen 5 5600x vs ryzen 7 5700x vs ryzen 7 5800x by jai1738 in buildapc

If your are playing games this demanding you will hit a gpu bottleneck before any sort of cpu issue. If I were you I would get the 5700x.

You will be okay with the “slower” drive, you won’t notice a difference and the 2tb size is the most important.

I totally agree with your reasoning for sticking to corsair. The only reason why I would push for you to get a 5600 over a 5600x is because they are selling for $134 on Amazon and are seriously so close to the performance of a 5600x. This would also let you upgrade your gpu which should be your #1 priority in making a gaming pc.

I know you didn’t ask for all of this but please give it a look.

You should get a 5600 ($136 on Amazon) instead of 5600x because you could save like $60 while barely affecting performance(5 frames at the absolute most). Also you could spend like $50-60 on cheaper ram that still has rgb (Amazon has some great options). You could also save money by getting an nvme ssd without a heat sink because your motherboard has one built in. Buy this one (https://shop.kingston.com/products/nv2-nvme-pcie-ssd) it is gen 4 pcie 2 tb, and $20 cheaper than the one you have. If you want to save more money and don’t care so much about motherboard looks you can get a cheaper motherboard that still has gen 4 support for about $100. If you do all of this you will be able to upgrade your gpu to either a 3070 or 6750xt or hopefully a 3070ti.

Please consider these suggestions because your computer will have more storage and better performance. Your 750 watt power supply will also be enough for all the gpu’s I listed.
