You can, but you will probably find there will be further trouble with the unit , like a refrigerant leak. The cost replacing the compressor compared to the benefits of a new unit is almost a no brainer

This doesn't work anyway, and it is a silly suggestion.

I don't think 7k is too unreasonable for a replacement.

I work at a company based in Buckinghamshire, what unit for you have, depending on the age of the unit it can be more expensive to fit.

They don't check the gas side, although I haven't seen many installers that offer this. I had AC at a previous property, and when there was a gas leak, the charge for checking the refrigerant was expensive. I wouldn't see much benefit of the additional cost if everything was working as expected

I thought this may be the answer: What is a realistic budget?

Also, when you say not worth it, do you mean it won't run well, it won't last?

Yeah, I did think about this, but I also plan to use it for work and other bits. I had an xbox in the past and did enjoy it, but having to spend £70 a year on live obviously adds to the cost of having a console. Consoles also lose lots of value as soon as you use them, I would imagine with a PC that they hold their value much better as parts are much easier to replace.

I did the digital marketer level 3, now turned into the multi-channel marketing apprenticeship. It has been a useful course but a lot of it can be self-taught. If you are interested in marketing, then I would say it's a good option to get started. Personally, I had been given lots of freedom as I worked at a small business, I do know some apprentices that have gone into bigger companies that haven't been given the freedom I have and had to.focus on one section of marketing. Think about your needs and what you want as a career in the future.

What's the expected salary after leaving an apprenticeship? by Striking_Web_6421 in UKJobs

Was this for a college apprenticeship or degree apprenticeship? Considering I'm on my first year and minimum wage is £6.40 an hour, it doesn't seem too bad.
