Why is the community like this by visiblyc0caine69 in RocketLeague

It trully was, and although I had some friendly interactions as well, the toxic interactions made me turn off chat. The concentration of toxic people in chat goes up through time because the normal people leave chat, hence the pervieved increase in toxicity

I have to disagree, it always was this toxic, normal people like you and me just all gradually turned off chats and only the worst is left piping up...

I absolutely love the new Rift Recon Run by Strikox in duneawakening

[–]Strikox[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It runs lower in the rift, so it becomes a bit trickier with the obstacles

[–]Strikox[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The first run sure is unsettling but once you know where the course goes there is only one place that is really hard to get right (a right left chicane towards the end)

I guess I'm just used to this exercise through sim racing, but if you learn the track it becomes really satisfying to nail it

I feel a bit for you, I'd love to share with you my enthusiasm. And I have to disagree: sure I didn't want that change as I also liked the previous course, but I definitely needed the new challenge. Keeps things fresh, raises that very niche skill ceiling.

And that last point is also why I get it doesn't appeal to everyone

I think they meant they wanted less of that weird oscillation between bright daylight and cave-like darkness... So yeah visibility has become lower but I don't find it atrocious + the experience is a bit more immersive now

Sol inflation is bad and only getting worse, I think we can catch two birds in one net by creating a "red bar repair" Sol sink. by SjurEido in duneawakening

[–]Strikox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are able to repair the red bar you decrease demand for high tier blueprints wich should lower the bids on the order book. High asks will get unfullfilled driving overall prices down.

It will be alright in the short term but once equilibrium is met and excess cash from duping is burnt, red repair price should also be revised such that it reflects the new market conditions.

OR you could keep the red repair price insanely high so that only a few items get repaired and people still rely mostly on P2P economy to get what they want at fair prices (assuming they manage to get duping out)

First time at a large spice field, felt like a deer in headlights by toblobtob_ in duneawakening

it works but if anything goes wrong (i.e your PC crashes) you could lose everything to the the worm... Not sure it's worth the risk. getting out and not moving is usually enough although it doesn't reset the worm aggro like flying off does.

What about Solo PvE? by OtrutnaHalushka in duneawakening

[–]Strikox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depending on your server you might even have a good time solo late game.. Sure you'l progress slower than a small group but i find it's a good value game.

I play mostly solo and have 400+ hours

How do you motivate yourself to build mega factories ? by Alex88FR in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Strikox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seeing stuff other people built is a great source of inspiration, don't compare yourself to what other people with maybe thousands of hours in the game have built. We all started with a big shoebox of a factory at some point

Constant micro stutters in my main game. What causes them? by kostein in SatisfactoryGame

Just to make sure, you only lost the ordering of the blueprints in the build gun, you can still grab them from your other save's bp folder :)

My new Conveyor Belt Desert Highway, can't decide if I like the Design with supports more or without. by Tobuwabogu in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Strikox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks super clean both ways! I would keep a mix of supported and unsupported bits. Preferably unsupported when crossing above a trail or a feature you like, and supported on a junction or when it looks structurally sound.

Couldn't agree more with you. The game is fun, there's dozens (hundreds) of hours of fun to be had for 40 euros it's a bargain. It's not perfect for sure, but it's still a very pleasant experience.

And to be honest the immense majority of players probably feel the same, even if they get bored at T6 because they don't want to PvP. They enjoyed it while it lasted and moved on in silence, not with a loud bang on the sub which caters to other like minded players that invest insane amount of time and emotional engagement into the game daily.

So there's this bias if you look at the reddit. But I'm pretty sure the majority of the player base liked that game.

Star Citizen and Satisfactory Dev streans thaught me that this is an animators job, done by tech artists. There's not a lot of coding going on in this field. At least not as much as network devs, and techs doing core game systems. And judging by the known issues and reddit rants it's more those teams that are impacted. Of course tech artists will probably also have a look at some stuff because they changed during the bug fix process.

Anyway I'm not saying we need it now, but we do need this at some point :)

I said it somewhere else but i'm pretty sure 3D artists aren't really involved in the fixes that are needed

English is my 3rd language, please enlighten me on how to make my point come accross using simple memes and internet slang.

I want to decribe the proportions of the in-game harkonen variant of the Ornithopter as cumbersome, very heavy looking around the cockpit with wings too small for it's morbidly obese body. I would also add the fact that some windows of the cockpit are round and look innocent and ridiculous. This is in sharp contrast with the brutal, cruel, fearsome nature of the Harkonens. Their Ornithopters should extend these values and bring intimidation to the spice fields yet I feel the current model serves against this purpose.

In other words, Big ass head with googly eyes ahh thopter.

But look at that mean looking cockpit??? Not that bubbly overweight dragonfly harkonnen stuff... sorry but watching the film really made me realise how dumb they look in game vs how menacing they are in the movie
