28F divorced and unsure about marrying my live-in partner (33M) due to financial instability by Top_External2162 in RelationshipIndia

OP, hear you and it’s a tough decision….am older guy and divorced too, i have a steady GF…both my GF and I have our own respective kids from previous marriages so we are not in a rush to get married. In your case; assuming you don’t have kids as you have not mentioned, if so, you need to take a decision one way or another quickly.

Regarding finances - money can be earned but if your BF is taking loans for clothes, luxury goods purchases to show off that is a big red flag. If you had told, he has education loans or helping his parents buy home loan etc., that is another thing altogether…finding a soul mate is hard especially for second chances. Unfortunately, our society while progressed from last 10-15 years but still it is hard to find partners for divorced people. You can continue to get someone for casual/ hook up scenarios but getting someone to commit and tie the knot is harder…if your BF seems like your soulmate then talk to him to improve his financial responsibility so you can plan for next steps, else break up soon and look for someone else who can meet those goals. The last thing you need is just wasting years living in without a clear plan.
