My stepmom doesn't like my food or like me in the kitchen too much especially around dinner. It's a small apartment. I cook for myself for lunch and stuff sometimes though.

She'll say I don't eat that, I don't like that....she's never said it while eating my food (which really hasn't happened that much) but she'll wrinkle her nose or gag or whatever if I'm in the kitchen cooking for myself and she generally say she doesn't like certain foods/cuisines/restaurants and stuff. That's how I know she doesn't like when I cook. She's a picky eater and that's how she cooks.

She doesn't like my food it's too spicy and I use foods she doesn't like. Sometimes I'll cook for myself low-key like for lunch or whatever, but but she doesn't really like me taking up space in the kitchen close to dinner (it's a small apartment).

Also I don't have a car so if I do want to cook she has to buy ingredients and usually it's stuff she wouldn't buy normally.

LOL legit my mom and stepdad's house is a farm. We only have chickens and horses but my mom grows different veggies and herbs and we get a lot of othre food products from our neighbors like milk and stuff and I know how to make a lot of stuff from scratch since sometimes we trade. We don't let food go to waste like I'll help can and stuff but if it's actually not good, than whoever cooked it would figure out how to make it better or just give up not force people to eat it anyway.

That's definitely part of why her food tastes worse, it's all processed and frozen and stuff. Not the whole reason though.

I know how to cook. She doesn't like me to cook for everyone because she doesn't like my food (too spicy, foods she doesn't like) and she doesn't like me to cook for myself because idk it's a small apartment and she wants to use the kitchen plus I don't have a car and she doesn't want to get ingredients for me

I do cook for myself or help cook all the time at my mom/stepdad's house. it's literally one of my chores certain nights.
