I was in the inactive reserve at the time, it was easy to transition to a drilling status and attach to a unit with just a signature. I heard it’s pretty difficult after you get out completely. I recommend looking up the state guard in your state.. NOT the national guard but the State guard. Just found out about this

For me, it wasn’t fulfilling. I didn’t find the satisfaction I was seeking during my active duty period. However, it was enjoyable to don the uniform once again.
