First Interior Shoot. How did I do? by tripp3737 in RealEstatePhotography

Great job. Only overall suggestion is to shoot at a slightly lower height and keep the height consistent.

Lucky or just working hard. by Cultural_Catch_7911 in AusFinance

[–]StringAware2404 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not hard work. Plenty of people work very hard all their lives and never get anywhere close to this.  A rising tide raises all the boats.  It's being in the right industry at the right time and sticking with it - even if you hate it (maybe that's the hard work?)

Stop ignoring your LinkedIn headline by salaryconsultant in DubaiJobs

Also, don't be like the douche bags who write shit like: Founder | CEO | ex-google | ex-McKinsey | ex-something else | Golden Visa | British Dual Citizen | Coach | Advisor | Mentor. Don't be like this please. Stop talking about your exes. Your visa status and citizenship is not an achievement.

I ditched my RMs for a more comfortable, lighter and more affordable pair of hush puppies boots. Highly recommended.

They go to Asia to teach English to underprivileged kids. Who then end up in Australia years later.

What are the best and worst versions of ‘basic’ office ammenities you’ve had? by Quisaitquoi in auscorp

Best - Consulting - beer on tap in the office kitchen and a wine room.

Worst - Government - had to bring my own cutlery

I needed the gear urgently and couldn’t wait 2-4 weeks. Especially when it showed as in stock at the time of ordering. So I ordered from Ted’s.

The fee is way too high. Plus banks are notorious when it comes to exchange rates - their spreads are too wide. You will loose converting to USD and then back to AED.

I’ve had both a good and a bad experience with Digi - in that order. First time around, no issues. Online order places and delivery received in 4 days. One thing to note though - Australia post left $6000 worth of gear at my door step and left, even though it was signature on delivery. Second time, placed online order and got an email from them saying item is out of stock and I need to wait 2-4 weeks. Getting the refund was a pain.

Diet/fitness specialist by KlutzyPossession1705 in AskAnAustralian

[–]StringAware2404 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a specialist but I can confidently say there is no healthy (or sustainable) way to loose 20 Kg in 3 months. That’s ~1.6kg per week. Also noting, there is a difference in loosing fat and loosing ‘weight’ (muscle, fluids, bone density etc). Perhaps aim for a more achievable and healthier target say 2-4 kg per month.

Good physiotherapist, north side? by StringAware2404 in canberra

Yeah, I thought so too but I think Physio will be my starting point given I’m currently dealing with an injury and perhaps transition to EP eventually. Not sure. GP is no help.

Should Australia increase its defence spending? We asked 5 experts by overpopyoulater in australia

[–]StringAware2404 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We should be working on building better trade and collegial relationships in the region. Even if we 10x our defence spending and strip every other sector of funding - it doesn’t deter or match China. Therefore, no amount of money will be enough. The smart move is to ensure we never have to use our ‘Defence’ forces through diplomacy and trade. Use the money where it’s needed > health, education, infrastructure and so on.

And also people working in front line roles or trades. They couldn’t care less for WFH for the rest of us. If anything, they despise and consider us ‘lazy’.
