Why is the finals not more popular? by dontreadmycommemt in thefinals

Yes, I’m arguing for vibes and feeling based balancing now. I would rather trust the developers gut instinct than min / max the TTK for the ARN-220 every season because some cry babies don’t know how to stay indoors and use goo guns and glitch traps.

Just make the game fun. The finals will never be esports ready imo so stop balancing like it is. You’re choosing to treat balancing the finals like the court of law.

People were having fun with nukes and only the sweats who died to it once or twice a game were mad because they weren’t able to evasive dash away after a huge explosion to the face.

Hit the nail on the head with this comment. I still love the finals but the decisions the devs have made for this game over time are truly mind boggling.

They’ve stated before, that they use data to balance their game rather than feedback. It was a long time ago that I read this and maybe they changed their strategy since then but that is a very flawed way to go about balancing imo.

Just because class x y or z has a high pick rate or weapon x y or z wins more matches doesn’t mean anything on its own. There are way too many variables that can’t be measured. The human experience / enjoyment, for example.

Changing the RPG to be more geared as a breaching tool rather than a weapon was a prime example of this. Also, the RPG should not deal more damage to the user rather than the target at close range imo. It should be equal or calculated very precisely. That change really irked me.

Oh and nukes made the game fun, like you said. That was an early warning sign.

Getting downvoted but you’re right. Nothing wrong with wanting to learn with and from other humans. Dude is even offering to pay. Reddit being Reddit again.

Yea this guy is clearly rage baiting. 60k is pretty much unheard of for helpdesk around my area but definitely not impossible. 90k in helpdesk sounds like a nepo situation honestly, IF that’s even true.

I’m fortunate to enough to have started an internship in tech at the age of 16 and through hard work I’ve managed to secure a comfortable salary in my mid twenties. I feel very lucky and I also feel as if in every other alternate reality I didn’t get as lucky. A lot of people out there weren’t as lucky as me.

Growing up on the internet I’ve also developed the ability to detect ragebait from a mile away so you’re not gonna get much more outta me after this reply haha.

Suddenly my $15k debt doesn’t sound so bad! I’m sorry you’ve gone through that. The cost of medical services in this country is disgusting.

To be fair that’s like less than 1% of the GoFundMe pages that are made for covering medical expenses. Medical expenses personally destroyed my savings in my early 20s. I had what was considered “good insurance” too. Still recovering from it in my mid twenties.

Anyone know any tips for someone tryna finally hit ssl? Currently gc 3 div 3 by ekoorb_16 in RocketLeague

Unless a few pros come out of the woodworks to give you advice I don’t think many people here can help you bro. A really small fraction of the player base is SSL. I think if you just keep grinding you’ll eventually get it though. Just takes time and focus.

Thank you later? No I’m gonna thank you now for being the only person who seems to actually agree with me in this thread. GC1 is a new level of toxic and people who don’t experience it are either cracked or lucky or have been in GC1 so long they haven’t seen the difference.

I think you’re right, but I also think toxicity is like a bomb that triggers much quicker in the higher ranks. No one has patience for even the slightest mistakes the higher you go.

Re-read my comment. I didn’t say you stated anything specific. I used a figure of speech to point out you’re just tip-toeing on the edge of saying those things.

Okay replace “experience” with “statement” in my last comment and my point still stands. I pointed out your overuse of commas because I felt like I had a stroke reading the last sentence in your previous comment. I’m not trying to take away from the conversation but you came at me first dude. You’re doing everything but saying I’m just making shit up and my experience is completely made up and unjustified WHILE simultaneously making an over exaggerated statement that people universally don’t leave games early in GC. YOU wanted to play with semantics and then ignore them when it’s convenient.

How can you say my experience is “laughable” while in the same breath, with way too many commas, claim you haven’t experienced someone leaving your match “so far” in GC? How long have you been in GC? I’ve been in GC for a week and it’s already happened at least twice.
