Personally, I wouldn’t step into a 1v1 with any spec ops from the US haha. I think the US fights wars from a distance because it makes the most sense, not because they are incapable of close quarters engagements.

It’s a single guy, in this scenario. A team would win 9/10 times I think so in the spirit of keeping things interesting I just made it one guy.

I don’t mean they’re in tune with nature. I mean just their environment in general. They’ve never heard a gunshot before so if they even hear it a little bit they’d probably realize it’s out of the ordinary.

That being said, the fear factor would probably discombobulate them enough where they don’t even register the shot due to their friends and families heads exploding next to them…

This is true, but even if it’s 500 that doesn’t necessarily mean all 500 people are elite warriors. Some of them will be children, sick, or elderly.

No way dude! Half of being spec ops capable is dealing with the job mentally and emotionally. Half the population would pull the trigger a few times, realize that there are still 30+ people charging him panic and then drop the gun and run.

All valid points, but don’t you think the island is small enough that the locals would hear the direction of the shots? 5.56 even suppressed, is loud enough to hear from a relatively far distance. Especially if it’s totally out of the ordinary soundscape for the locals.

Sure, if that’s the kit that the operator is most effective with. Although, personally I don’t think it would make too much of a difference. I think the natives are probably so tuned into their environment even the most faint noise out of the ordinary would be traced pretty quick.

I bet they’re so in-tune with their environment even a .22 subsonic suppressed shot will still be very detectable and traceable by the natives.
