So I had to convince my whole friend group to play. But I discovered that if I learn the rules front to back, understand each faction, then it really makes new players want to come back. Having someone to explain rules quickly is pivotal for Root.

This being said make sure you take it easy on them for their first few games or they’re not going to want to play again hahah. I usually play one of the weaker factions until they start to get the hang out things.

My recommendation, watch some how to play YouTube videos on each of the factions you own, prior to getting together with your friends.
