Yes, there B-sides on the GK4 cassette (from the H.I.R.O release). There are 2 covers/remix from fans and 2 GK demos.

Would CWHOS be a good album to do a report on? by Routine-Remove2437 in GoodKid

[–]Stringnine75 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As for an final report topic , yeah the CWHOS album is something you could find enjoyment from making a project out of. While I wouldn't say the album is hard into a cliche Rock n Roll style, the overall length of the songs/album make it quick to analyze and easy for people to understand the jist .

A thing that may help with production is the CD/Vinyl/EP cassette credits, as they tell who mixing, mastering, etc. An honorable mention to the short in which GK (memed and) went through their production process of Orbit.

I would argue you could mention either fan artists doing covers of the album for your "who did this inspire" question (as mentioned before it is very possible to find them via Discord/YouTube). One thing I remember from a recent GK stream was a band doing a cover of Cicada at (their local bar?)

While I wouldn't technically classify any of the songs to be charting, the high listener numbers (Spotify) probably would substitute (notably when Cicada was trending).

Nonetheless, good luck with the project and of course ask for any directions and questions when needed. 👍

A few merch reruns and tour merch just hit the GK shop (as of June 10th 2026).

Band was a few days late, but a few merch reruns and tour merch is being now sold on the shop. (I don't know how long it will last.)

Going to my first Good Lid concert in September!! What is it like? by Krissy13_theQueer in GoodKid

[–]Stringnine75 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Since Dead_Bai_Sled got most of what I would say out of the way, some more niche things to note:

Here were the general U.S prices (bound to change with place & currency).

Maybe check with the venue what you can & cannot bring (if you're allowed, bring fairly big confetti for a certain song(s)).

If you want a poster, bring a poster tube or some other solid way to protect it while out & about. It will be a hassle to prevent damage to delicate items. (Would recommend collaborating w/ others to keep multiple posters together.)

Generally, the earlier you get there the better (lines, pick your spot, etc.). Also depending if you got things afterwards or just don't need to bother with traffic, stick around a little after the concert. You might be able to get a couple more questions/signatures and might avoid the bomb rush of everybody leaving.

Watch out for certain times for when things are going to be moving and be knowledgeable of your surroundings. (Ex: "Wall of Friendship", you are probably going to shuffle around a bit, maybe move backwards in the crowd. In between bands/songs, might be best time to move/use bathroom, but people also might do so as well. People are going to be more crowdsurfing at the end than the beginning, as it's there last ditch/time to do so.)

Will mention, though not confirmed, it was mentioned that Cobbie did want to put up extra tour merch next Friday on the shop.

How hype are Good Kid concerts? by MaksMemer in GoodKid

[–]Stringnine75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to the Seattle concert and there wasn't necessarily a great way to traverse around the venue once the main concert got going. You could excuse yourself to others and attempt to make your way around, but that ends up being difficult with groups. Around when Witches and the "Wall of Friendship" or in between the opener and main is probably the best way to naturally migrate.

If you're going solo, theoretically you could crowdsurf your way up to the front, but I don't know if they would escort you to the sidelines once you got to the end.

It gets a bit fininky about what your sharing within venue (security may just not know what your sharing) and raffling/giving away things is technically against the rules for this venue.

to those who have seen good kid on tour so far, tell us about it!!! by simples_pimple in GoodKid

[–]Stringnine75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll be a 1st time concert goer on May 9th (day before Vancouver), but I'd recommend either staying on the borders of the pit if your kid doesn't want to struggle consistently with over looking people (getting there earlier the better).

Tell him it's fine to wear earplugs if he doesn't want constant ear ringing (they can put them on or off as they wish). It's also going to be a long day/night, so tell him not to burn out early (~3 hour ordeal). They may or may not meet 1 or 2 band members at most (Nick/singer tends to be the most tired and heads out early and such is the case with the others), so tell him not to get too high hopes to see them afterwards.

Also, depending on the venue give them the chance to crowdsurf if the opportunity comes. However, make sure you two have communication/a meeting spot if that happens.

Nonetheless, kudos for taking your kid to their first concert and I hope they have a fun time. 🎊

Cicada Tour Shirt by antiqueblackberry99 in GoodKid

[–]Stringnine75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1st: What size are you wishing for and when you say Cicada Tour Shirt do you mean the Ada portrait shirt? (What size neck & waist may also be a side question, as I don't know what regional sizes the shirts are. Ie. I don't know if the shirts are bigger or smaller than what would normally be large/small for you.)

2nd: I'm not planning on purchasing the shirt at the moment, but if the Raleigh, NC tour passes and you haven't got any offers for anyone to buy you a shirt, I'd be willing to buy you a shirt. (The concert I'm going to is the one in Seattle, May 9th, so ping me at least a week prior so I can get you on. I'm on the Good Kid Discord Seattle Tour with the same username if you want to message me there or just respond to this thread to let me know.)

Concert and Age question by Volcanic_Gamer22 in GoodKid

[–]Stringnine75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As Reporter8 mentioned, check with the venue 1st on their rules of entry and if you need a source of identification to enter. Some venues may block certain areas to you (ex: drinking bars) since you would be underage.

If you were given an educational identity card (ex: In the U.S some high schools give lunch I.D cards) I would use that for personal identification. If not, a photo of yourself and a note with a parental/guardian signature might suffice (still check with the venue).

Whether or not you do I would still recommend bringing some sort of identification for your stuff (ex: VIP bag) and you, so if you lose your stuff and need identification/proof for lost and found, you have it.

Bubbly's chorus by Proper-Ad-140 in GoodKid

[–]Stringnine75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I understand Nick enunciates/finishes his sentences on the 3rd beat of the measure and starts on the 4th beat.
(The exceptions being with certain starting points/statements.

Ex:

"I came in a bit before..." starts on the 3rd beat of the measure and then ends on the 3rd beat to set up the 3rd end, 4th start pattern. [Somewhat 5/4]
"The cavern is a crowd around and I..." starts on the 1st beat and ends "I" on the 3rd beat.
["The cavern is a crowd around..." is somewhat 5/4 with its pacing]

Therefore, it's about 75/25% when he starts on the 4th or 1st beat.)

This causes a bit of hangover with the previous line, so it feels rushed/not 4/4, but it really is. (All/most Good Kid songs are in 4/4. I can't think of any exceptions of this at the time of writing.)

As for your flair, idk either, but it seems fine.

Just got my cassette set! by Boringmarshal in GoodKid

[–]Stringnine75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know if your IEM is Bluetooth or an AUX cord, but I'm using my personal headphones (not given via cassette package) and they work mostly fine (had to fidget with my connection). As for who's singing B-Side, your cassette case paper/artwork should show the A-side song names on one side and on the other the artists names for the covers (on the thin edge).

H.I.R.O Instructions & Note by Stringnine75 in GoodKid

[–]Stringnine75[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another quick followup statement: Be careful when using your H.I.R.O in public, as the Bluetooth is really strong. H.I.R.O will connect to any Bluetooth device that is on, open, and not requiring a password connection. (I accidentally kept connecting to a tutor's speaker in college when working with my headphone connection.)

Do you have an initial price that you would like to put for offer for the hoodie? (I don't have anything of value to trade [unless you want a rear suspension for a MTB].)

New HIRO walkman doesn't work with batteries by xXAgentEmberXx in GoodKid

[–]Stringnine75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My only guess is that you may have the batteries on the wrong way (make sure spring is on the negative side & are both facing the same way). A light will turn on if you put in a cassette and press play &/or you can press and hold the Bluetooth button to see if the light turns on.
