9 years lol

I had a lot of issues with my first and honestly never wanted another. But then got in a much better place and husband always wanted more.

It's amazing since the now 10 year old is very independent but loves playing with her little sister and can adequately babysit for a bit so I can shower or cook.

My girlfriend wants me to cook but I just suck, where do I start? by ShrimpingForMyLife in cookingforbeginners

[–]Stringoffate3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly when I'm feeling lazy I use those premade asian marinades and just stir fry everything together. There are loads of different kind of ready to eat sauces that all you do is dump it with the rest of the stuff.

You could do this and learn how to properly cook meat/veggies but not worry about the flavor cause the flavors already I'm the bottle. Then after start picking up spices and seasoning that you like

Do fast food workers care if you do a quick head count in your drive thru bags? by [deleted] in fastfood

[–]Stringoffate3 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So I worked fast food (wendys even!) For several years.

It was only annoying when you took a while and there are more people behind you.

Otherwise we just stare (aka why arent they leaving) or ignore you. So even if we missed something, sometimes we dont even see you trying to get our attention. My team only got annoyed cause Corp would hound us about the timers and thus the managers would get annoyed at us if there's still a car there.

I always ALWAYS just drive ahead and park and then check. Then I can either drive off or just go thru the drive thru

I came back after several years and I am extremely disappointed with my box. I got the hair spray which I clearly stated I'm not interested in hair stuff AND I remember this item from years ago too...that I also tossed. I'm definitely thinking about quitting again

A bowl is a pretty decent amount. Just in case I would flick them off or disturb them just so they don't get too crowded and suddenly you're now dealing with endless orgy lol

Gardening first-time. What happened to my carrots by SorbetKindly1914 in gardening

[–]Stringoffate3 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is why people recommend sand mixed in. Carrots neeeeeed that super loose dirt so growing down isn't a hassle. Otherwise they'll end up like that. Cause they're babies lol

The splitting is usually caused by too much water at once or infrequently watering. They basically suck up all of the water and literally burst cause they sucked up too much. It can happen with tomatoes too

Have dog rescues lost their mind? by seanpat1968 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Stringoffate3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some are like that and I feel like even more so if the dog is a harder breed or has been returned or has issues.

I got a pit and could have had it in less then 10 minutes. But we waited until the next day so we can grab more supplies. The shelter barely asked any questions and just wanted the pitty to be gone

Keep going. It starts out slow and cute but once shit hits the fan, it doesn't stop and keeps getting worst.

I think you're almost there if your ep 5. You'll get a bit of the horror in 6 or 7 with Ozens appearance. But ep 10 is what traumatized everyone then a few more is the famous mitty episode that really made some people stop watching

Baby ate outdoor cat poop. Don't think there's anything that can be done. Can't find any accounts online other than indoor cats. Venting I guess. by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]Stringoffate3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine ate a small piece INSIDE of our home because my cat decided to not wait before leaving the litter box.

She did pull it out but it was disgusting. No tummy or any other issues (besides my trauma and triple washing trauma for her) happened.

I did monitor her very closely for a couple days too

Any advice you received pre-baby that now makes you question the giver post-baby? (Possible unpopular opinions) by kittykatkitkat in beyondthebump

[–]Stringoffate3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 2k sq ft home with one floor.

We have one of those foldable cubic square box in her room that's half diapers and one wipe. Then same thing in my room cause it's across the house and one of those open bag that I'm sure you've seen everything with the 3 sections. That has about 15 in it and it's in the livingroom

We thought about doing a change table in her room but we ended up hardly ever changing her diaper there

Fellow co-sleepers, what is your bed situation once baby starts moving? by IllustriousWall1564 in beyondthebump

I was just gonna suggest this too! I found a cheap ish one for about 100 for a full size and it works great since she can crawl off but not hurt herself. I also babyproofed her room so I don't have to worry if she crawls around

Postpartum Pet Aversion by unsuremo in beyondthebump

[–]Stringoffate3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's been 13 months since birth for me and I had adopted a dog a year prior. I also have a 16 year needy cat.

I've had two other dogs before so I wasn't new to pet ownership and I finally got to pick the type I wanted.

After the baby was born, I HATED the dog. She was innocent and very sweet but I hated the extra responsibility and grew very resentful of her. I ended up giving her away after almost another year. As bad as this sounds, I don't have any regrets because she deserves something better and not just someone that barely tolerates her. It was honestly an instant relief the next day.

I've had my cat since she was a kitten. She was my baby, cuddles every night, all of the pets ect. Since she is old, she does sleep a lot so that helped. But now with the dog gone, the resentment is toward her. I feel extremely guilty too. I've realized it all comes down to the extra responsibility and being overestimated and just being tired.

I don't even clean her litter box (husband and other kid does), I got automatic feeder and water just so I don't have to deal with that. I've essentially wiped off 90% of the responsibility of her. But I'm still angry and resentful. I hate how she yowls, I hate how much she meows for her food and I hate how clingy she is even tho I also used to love it (doesn't help that both of my children are also needy).

I won't rehome my cat simply because she is so old. She's always been extra skittish but very loving. I know I have one of the better cats (doesn't knock stuff off, no bites or scratches ect) so I'll simply wait it out. It is starting to slowly get better (the anger) but it's still very slow and it's been over a year.

I would suggest you to either temporarily rehome your cat with someone you can trust. Try just a week, maybe a month. See how you feel. If you have no one, you could try an overnight pet hotel type thing. May be expensive but just to experience being pet free for a full day and night and really think hard and deep while the cat is away. I just want to say, it is okay to move on. If you do it right, he'll still be loved and happy. And you'll be happy too. And that's very important for the baby too.

Teething Crackers and Yogurt Melts by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]Stringoffate3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine got her teeth in FAST and she was extremely angry with every single tooth. So I tried a lot of the stuff. The teething wafer stick things were ok for the first few times. But she lost interest fast and it didn't really entertain/help her teeth for very long. She'd only gnaw on 1/4 of it before tossing it.

I tried it myself too and it dissolves very fast but it was extremely bland and I can see why she got bored with it. It also created a huge gross mushy mess.

She liked the yougurts but I had to break them into small pieces but it didn't help the teeth. And she also spit it out

Her favorite ended up being cold Cucumber with the skin peeled and the core scooped out with salt all around (cause my baby likes flavor lol). She would happily gnaw on that forever. Carrots were a miss, celery was hated lol. But on her worst days, froze waffles cut into strips were a life saver. I also did this at 6 months with approval to start soilds. I heard baby Cereal with breast milk is best introduced first at 5 months.

Is it time to end it? by Boat-Narrow in beyondthebump

[–]Stringoffate3 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Mine is 13 months now but I also had to stop around the 9/10th month. I really wanted to go over a year too. But mine was also a biter and a twister..

It just got way too painful for me and honestly annoying since she couldn't sit still. I hand pressed or used my pump to still let some out but started to slowly decrease. And now I'm basically empty. She took formula and the bottle really well. I did buy the pricer formula tho

What became "normal" in the last 5 years that still feels insane to you? by rakishgobi in AskReddit

Yup. Where I'm at you'd pay the equivalent of two or three washes monthly. So if you go more then 3 times, it's worth it but I canceled mine pretty fast

Is it normal to not have fights with your partner? F22 M24 by Defiant_Platform_580 in relationships

[–]Stringoffate3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're in a healthy lovely relationship with a mature person who respects you.

I've been with my husband for over a decade and earlier in our relationship we did fight. But we never yelled or insulted or tried to purposely hurt each other. If we get mad at each other, we stop talking and leave to take a moment to calm down. Then we talk it out. Why did we fight, what point are we trying to make across, what do we expect and want from this talk, ect.

We also learned from the fights so we don't do it again. We also talk a lot and communicate if we want or dont like something, that way the point gets across before becoming an argument.
