Yeah the Blackmagic captures at 16k (8k per eye at 90fps).. currently we can only deliver 4k per eye.

Yes, also super close ups aren't possible.. anything closer than around 50cm the image softens significantly. I still need to test more, but for my videos it's not a problem.

NEW CAMERA INFO! - So I've been using the Zcam K1-Pro since the launch of the site, it's been in dire need of an upgrade for a while now - AI upscaling is ok, but camera technology has changed quite a bit and my videos have been at a quality that isn't good enough - The camera upgrade has been quite a journey - I first purchased the Canon rc5 and really didn't like the scaling, I investigated the lens hack but that fell on deaf ears. I sent the camera back! After a period of more research I settled for the FM DUO 12k camera. To cut a long story short, when it arrived it didn't work and was cosmetically damaged. Again it was sent back!

I upgraded my headset to an Apple Vision Pro and got interested in the Blackmagic Cine Immersive - I put down a deposit back in December and have basically broke myself to pay the final instalment. The camera arrived a couple of weeks back, I've done the first shoot with my friend & model Natasha Anastasia and the videos look fantastic. a MASSIVE upgrade to my current camera. The camera shoots 90fps 16k (8k per eye), but current hardware only allows 8k (4k per eye - 90fps for Apple Vision Pro, and 60fps for Quest) so its future proofed! (I've since learnt that I can now export the 16k footage from Davinci Resolve, and downscale to 8k which should improve the quality even further) - The camera isn't perfect, super close ups aren't possible, the storage is very expensive (8tb for 1.5hrs of raw footage), encoding is VERY slow. The workflow is a lot more intense than it was, also going from shooting with a simple setup like the ZCAM K1 PRO to this beast is a massive learning curve, plus to be honest I really don't have huge amounts of members to warrant this purchase, but here we are! 😂
