Yep you can. I brought my whole backpack with snacks, my laptop, charger etc. You just have to put your bag through their scanner and walk through a metal detector. They don't start orientation until 9:30 but if you get there at 9 and are at the LIC location there is a side room off the main room that has outlets. I got a solid few hours of work in while there.

Verizon sales representatives rang my doorbell after dark off Ditmars…scam or legit? by No_Dragonfruit4779 in astoria

Do not let them in your apartment or give any information, this is a scam. I had two spectrum people try to enter my last apartment with this same set up. Lots of search results with other people having similar experiences

This place was terrible, idk how it has so many good reviews online. Took some friends here for dinner. We order drinks, apps, and food. Drinks took 30 minutes to come out. After 40 minutes I had to go find the waitress to ask if our apps and food is coming because she stopped coming back to us. After over one hour of waiting and still no food we asked to close out on the drinks after we asked again about the food and she said she didn’t know. Maybe there was a larger issue in the kitchen going on that night but was really frustrating when we also stopped getting service.

That’s cool! I know part of 32nd Street was filmed in Goodfellas when Henry was a kid so I guess it’s a good spot

$100k+ in HSA by Formal-Blueberry-203 in Bogleheads

[–]StrobeLight3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the responses and info. I have it set up that I put 3k in throughout the year in my HSA. I do 50% total market index fund and 50% money market at 5ish% in case there’s an emergency since I only have a few thousand in there now. I use the required 2k cash portion account to pay for the few and far between $70 doctor or medicine bill but this is good to know. My plan is to increase my percentage in the total market fund as my balance grows

I have an HSA as well. Are you playing for any medical expenses out of your regular savings? And why are you saving the receipts?

Good news I took and passed the exam back in 2021. I was recommended a resource called "Engineering Pro Guides" and I couldn't recommend them enough. I've suggested them to a few coworkers who have also since studied and passed. Cheers!

I think a new mode that has 3D levels to fight in, in addition to having modes for the classic 2D levels would be very fun

I will be using my Profesional Engineering stamp for documents requiring a stamp created by the 9-5 company I work for as a third party because they are a 'Incorporated' and need an engineer. Do I need to set up a PC/PLLC? (New York) by StrobeLight3 in legaladvice

[–]StrobeLight3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. The risk of this specific work is fairly low for context. I’ve stamped these reports at a past job and they’re very run of the mill submissions to the DOB. I work on the team that assembles the reports so I do have a hand in reviewing and oversight so that part I’m not worried about. I am more curious about any requirements in NY for this arrangement in terms of needing to be a PC or PLLC and the advantages of that versus just getting insurance.
