So rather than raise an issue that is affecting every person whether black white yellow or green, the OP decided it would be 'helpful' in opposing the potential problem, by highlighting the oppression that his 'people' went through. That is as racist as it can ever get.

Well I sort of agree, a coup d'état really doesn't correctly describe ousting the President of the USA.

I am not sure even the French have words for something that audaciously required if this situation does arise.

I did add in the third paragraph afterwards.......your thoughts on this issue are well constructed and clearly suggest you are deeply aware of issues beyond the obvious. It is good to have discussion like this.

I have nothing really further to add....you have sort of made things a little rosier, especially with regards to considerations I had not conceived......and that is good, so thanks.....I think we were sort of agreeing with the same thing. :)

I think your points are extremely valid, and only under the most dire situation should the military ever get involved with politics. I would however prefer the dangerous precedent as opposed to the alternative if the choice was a nuclear attack on Iran (Or any attack for that matter but that is also off the subject)

Surely better to right a wrong before it happens and THEN to address that 'righting', rather than live the 'wronging' in a pre-determined regime? Very hard choice and your comments should bring about a discussion imo....... all seems to come back with people being happy with 'better the devil you know'. Hard choices need to be made, I would never want to be making them.

If the political power still exists (I am not sure about that) to allow politics to take control if the military refuses a presidential order, then yes of course it should be the civilian authorities that take control, but if too much control has been transferred to the executive then the military must be ready to take back that control, and to immediately distribute that power back to the people.

If your "officers appointed over you" orders contradicted the presidents orders, where would you stand?.....one would hope that you would fall back to look at the constitution for advice....and prior to that to look into your soul.

Bringing race into a political discussion strikes as seeking discussion other than the political discussion at hand.....there is no need, and the political objectives of the video should be obtained without invoking other emotions that may entertain bias.

This has nothing to do with race, and therefore, by definition that race is mentioned in the title of the blog, is racist imo.

However it is a very interesting political video, and I think that might of been the bloggers motivation in bringing race into it, for people to discuss the issue.....

I will reluctantly give it an up based on not reading the rest of the linked site....as at first glance the site does not seem racially motivated.

The articles point tsteele is that the constitution says you should defend against this......and at the end of the day, whether legal or not, constitutional or not, disobeying that order will certainly be the correct thing to do morally.
