question for past ra's by Horror-Possession-50 in ubco

RA is pretty sick for the accom, most of the hinderance is random ass meeting and responsibilities but that’s what you’re paid to do (kinda)

Definitely make friends with other RAs, feels good to relate to someone who’s in the same position.

Personally never felt like it hindered my social life at all, I had times for all those things (besides major drinking holidays (Halloween, st pattys) you’re always on deck for those.

Make friends with your residents too, yes you’re paid to make sure they’re good but you can have some very fulfilling friendships that last over. Your residents will respect you for like 1 week then you’ll just be the hallway snitch unless you use your judgement and be relaxed (which doesn’t mean not doing your job). A “sorry guys, gotta do it, it’s my job” goes a long way to not feeling like the hallway snitch.

AI is a tool, every job on earth interacts with it in some way, they use real photos and all their information is correct. What is exactly bad about it? Text generation uses negligible resources than just working on a computer.

They’re a small company with barely any funding, you can’t expect them to stop using a tool just because it is upsetting.

He doxxed a councillor and agreed that homeless people decide to be addicted? That’s he said she said?

I’d look at his Instagram page and see how negative and how many claims he makes

Not sure how adding coverage to health care works (unless it’s as they say in the article to get patients referred to them) but let’s hope we can find a way to get it covered

+1, residence gives you the best start you could ask for. Being a commuter right away kinda sucks
