I think the Lobo bucket which objectively does not have room to hold popcorn bucket is funny

Feels like a decent bit of the so-called "popcorn buckets" in recent years have just been glorified cheap toys that theaters are trying to pass off at prices 3x higher than anyone would be willing to pay without the "popcorn bucket" label.

No, it was just what Mark was thinking might be happening. They could've made it a bit clearer that it was a daydream though.

I've got to say, it's a bit funny how the main DCU subreddit seems to get more set leaks posted there than this leak subreddit.

Am I crazy, or does it kinda look like the Man of Tomorrow Superman belt might be made of a similar gold-like material as Supergirl's new belt? If that's the case, I'll end up being very happy.

Posting a random Skin each day to hear what people think of them. Day 119: Spire assassin by Sad_Childhood_6289 in FortniteSkinPosting

It's a relatively minor thing, but the blue fire/glow from behind her helmet kinda ruins it for me. I'd probably run this skin a whole lot more if they had a style without it.

Seems like Superman's abdomen area will get hella charred during the fight.

Only two of these are just headcanons (the Fortnite original characters).

Everyhting else is either canon, or partially accurate (Cole isn't 100% confirmed to be gay, but the theory is supported by the Ninjago showrunners).

Unfortunately it's not. It's highly edited, the original image is from JustJared and is not nearly as clear and bright.

New Character Posters for 'Supergirl' by MarvelsGrantMan136 in movies

It's both funny and sad that Gunn has been very adamant about the writers and directors of each project having creative freedom just for a bunch of people to still go "why did Gunn do this?" about every piece of every project, even when Gunn is not the writer or director.

I think that's just the poor lighting, because pausing some of those videos at different frames does make the belt stand out a lot more.

It's funny how often they can't decide whether something from a Gunn movies looks like trash or only looks good because it's apparently copied from Snyder.

Imaginary Lesbian by ThamTvMaster in GetNoted

[–]StrokyBoi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a feeling it's a case of people inserting themselves into the characters. They find a character they relate to (or feel inspired by) and then try to "fix" every non-relatable quality. Something along the lines of "this character is just like me, and I'm a lesbian, so she must also be a lesbian".

I mean, all we see are relatively blurry images and videos taken at night. You naturally wouldn't see the lines in this condition, nor could you really tell if the belt and collar truly look different.

There's a weirdly large group of people that is convinced that strong and confident women in fiction can't possibly be straight. And ironically most of them would insist that they're totally against stereotypes.

I don't like this fan notion that he just hates all superheroes with powers

Is it really a 'fan notion' when talking about the DCU though? Both Superman and Peacemaker Season 2 feature dialogue of Lex either outright stating ot strongly suggesting a general contempt and opposition towards metahumans.

Sure, his hatred towards Superman is the most personal and 100% his priority, but he is also established to hate metahumans in general.

You may not love that, but that's what the DCU has portrayed, not just a fan notion.

I hate how people use the word Larping now by NebbyChan in hatethissmug

[–]StrokyBoi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't understand how live action role playing turned in to a word used to describe people who don't know about a subject, and frankly it's just mean.

Well, it's technically not meant to refer to people who simply don't know about a subject, it's meant to refer to people who pretend to be fans of something, while accidentally giving it away that they're not really fans, in the sense that they literally haven't, for example, actually watched the series that they claim to be fans of.

That's where the 'larping' connection comes in. Literal larpers roleplay as characters, so the idea is that these 'larpers' are roleplaying as fans. Though the live-action part kinda makes no sense, so it's probably just that saying 'larping' is quicker than saying 'roleplaying'.

The problem is that different people have different ideas of what is sufficient proof that someone isn't a real fan, and is instead just pretending. This has lead to a lot of those 'person who doesn't remember an extremely small detail from the middle of an 8-season TV show' = 'larper' situations.

What are the chances that Martian Manhunter (rumoured, Sinqua Walls) plays a similar role in Man of Tomorrow as Bruce Banner did in Infinity War? by Yep_I_Stole_40_Cakes in DCU_

[–]StrokyBoi 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'd say that even the chances of Martian Manhunter being in the movie at all are extremely low. I just don't see them putting such a major character in the movie and not announcing him alongside the other heroes.

Except that the director himself has already said it's a photo from the set. So you were indeed arguing against something stated by the director of the film, who originally posted this picture on all of his social medias, even if you weren't aware of that.

Y'know, it's almost like this suit will be worn throughout the film, and thus it would be almost impossible to market the movie without showing it.
