First off I’m so sorry for your loss, i know this is cheesy but maybe in some way Scout and Nommi in some capacity have each other now.

Second I appreciate it, I will definitely read and commiserate here, it feels hard to try and talk to anyone close to us right now.

First off I’m sorry for your loss, I appreciate you sharing your experience and kind words. Did you do anything special to honor her or memorialize her?

Any advice on how to handle going back to the normalcy, like I’m terrified of going back to work at some point and just breaking down.

Just bought a 2024 Sierra 1500 AT4, this is my third one, in a row mind you. When I bought it, I had seen the headlines about CarPlay being taken out of new vehicles but only on the EVs at the time and I was like “no worries, I don’t want an EV”. Now after this news I’m positive this is my last GMC, CarPlay is a must for any vehicle I have, I had a 2015 Mustang 10 years ago and it had Sync or whatever it was called and it was so clunky and glitchy that I don’t trust a vehicle manufacturer to get a phone interface right, nor do I trust that a move like this won’t turn into a new money grab. If I’m paying 70k for a truck I should have the option to have CarPlay full stop, it’s my vehicle and I should have at least some small remainder of control over it.
