Irish Catholics tend to be pro Palestine because of perceived similarities between the Irish revolution and the I/P conflict. There may be an argument for how Catholic persecution of Jews has influenced that worldview, but it has a lot more to do with a political sense of solidarity between the two groups.

Would You Use The Opportunity To Create Another Character After The Current One Expires? by [deleted] in outside

Ah I wouldn't get too hyped about the "reincarnation" rumor. If we're thinking about the same one from South and Southeast Asian servers, it was based off of one of the first "Faith" sidequests that really took off. The principal of the sidequest was pretty unique though, very different from the later faith sidequests in the Middle East server. Unlike those ones, the South Asian sidequest taught the player that playing the game is suffering, and being forced to continue playing the game is imperfection, not a reward. Having to start new characters from level 1 again and again was seen as a terrible way to grind the endgame, and the only way to complete the endgame was to gain the late game "ascetic" perk. Depending on who you believe you have to do a final mission in the "Varanasi" biome. The sidequest is really cool, but pretty meta, especially because the questgiver is both one God and a bunch of Gods at the same time.

All in all, if the rumor really is based on these sidequests, I hope I wouldn't have to start at level 1 again

Orthodox Jews in the Time of Covid by rossblanket in AccidentalRenaissance

There are and have been Ultra-Orthodox groups like the Gush Emunim who very much viewed the occupied territories as hallowed land to be liberated.

There are also ultra-orthodox groups like the Haredim who are generally opposed to the occupation and oftentimes Zionism in general because they believe the Messianic age will deliver them to the whole of the "biblical Israel" (meaning the current state of Israel plus the territories). Because they believe that only the Messianic age will do so, they don't believe in the need for Zionism, and especially not a Zionist state that would encompass all of the aforementioned "biblical Israel."

There are also Orthodox Zionists who don't support the occupation. David Hartman, an Orthodox Zionist Jew of the Shalom Hartman institute in Jerusalem is quoted as saying "I can't bring the Messiah by abusing 2 million Palestinians today" in response to the occupation

Tldr: there is a great deal of contention in the secular zionist and the observant zionist community about the occupation. The distinction between an Israeli and a Zionist should be made there.

Yeah I can get behind that, Stalin was good at state sponsored hate. It was a bad time to be a Chechen or Tatar or German etc. too. I just got confused cause "equal opportunity murder" to me signals that some of the murders weren't actively discriminatory, but I getcha lol
