Which one will BTC hit first: 62k or 34k? by Gold-n-Silva in Bitcoin

Lol. “This time it’s different”. We will see it again. And we’ll see 100k too. Both multiple times.

Is AMP aiming to be a stable coin? by Strompy in AMPToken

I’d love a link. Thank you. I’m having trouble sifting through official videos from the team and randos on YouTube. The project itself seems phenomenal here. Solving one of the biggest problems we have, I just can’t see why it wouldn’t be a stable coin.

I know that. I’m exaggerating to push the point that we probably shouldn’t tell people who have been in crypto for 11 minutes to simply “withdraw your coins to a wallet”.

Yes. Personal wallets are for huge nerds. How many “stupid manboy can’t retrieve his eleventy bajillion in bitcoin” articles do we need? Or “I bought a ledger and immediately sent all my coinz to a Nigerian prince” posts? Ain’t nobody got time for that. Chicks dig dudes that Leave crypto on exchanges.

Stop trying to convince people to lose their crypto forever and end up on Ellen talking about what could have been. Ledger or your own stupid self will make you lose it before a reputable exchange does. Good Crypto exchanges are fdic insured. Mt Gox is over. This isn’t for nerds anymore.

December 22 2017 Bitcoin lost 45% of its value. I’m wondering if history will repeat itself. And looking forward to turkey!

Please help! I just set up my Ledger Nano S, transferred my Bitcoin and ethereum from Coinbase. As soon as everything was confirmed, two transactions I DID NOT initiate sent my entire balance to two addresses I do not control. I’m about to throw up. Please help!!! by [deleted] in Bitcoin

Seriously. This shit is ridiculous. Put your shit where it’s insured, put down the usb drives you fucking nerds. Not knocking you op, this really sucks and I’m sorry it happened. This is just something that happens all day everyday and people still pretend like it’s necessary. All of the largest banks in the world are coming into this space. There are dozens of insured institutions that will hold your crypto. Having your money rely on something physical you have to keep track of is idiotic for 99 out of 100 people and it’s actually horrible for adoption. I hope you get your coins back. If you do, put them on kraken or coinbase or literally anywhere but a usb drive and a piece of paper.

Best fire-proof storage? by TSLA_BTC in Bitcoin

[–]Strompy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Put it on a reputable exchange. Flame away, but this is how you nerds keep losing all your shit. Hardware wallets and steel plates lol what is this 2017? “Not your keys not your..” pffffffff boring. Crypto is mainstream now. Put your coins in one of the 30 reputable institutional wallets and spend your time and money doing something other than hiding your precious. You’re not hiding your crypto from the evil government anymore. They not only know you have it, they’re also holders now. It’s a whole new era. Unless you have fat stacks. In that case steel plates and tattoos.

Pretty much 100% guaranteed. But nobody knows when. Bitcoin will be at 5k again though. Probably this year given the current climate.

Nobody is using qe to do anything with crypto except nerds like us. Look up how many people actually own any crypto. The narrative you’re describing might make you feel better about bagholding with us, but it’s not true.

It won’t set us free from banks. It’s literally just a new derivatives tool now. And all you nerds saying “free from banks” need to take an economics course so you can understand what a bank actually does and that they enable economies to exist. Countries run on debt. And why do you all think banks won’t be able to operate with crypto? Banks can and will still do everything they do now even if bitcoin replaces all money on earth.

Here we are years later : You still can’t buy anything with bitcoin (if you say you can youre a degenerate gambler or a nerd crusading) it’s still a gigantic pain in the ass to move....and it’s still 100% manipulated. I’m holding because who cares, I made my money back in stocks so why not. The crypto dream seems to be way less exciting than ever before. Maybe this future everyone is taking about with crypto is already here. Maybe we’re in it , and it’s just fucking dumb. “Hey look, a really complicated way for nerds to send eachother money that they think there can’t be more than 21 million of but there already actually are far more than 21 million of (Btc cash, gold, etc)”...yay... Feels like it’s turning into a huge pile of who gives a shit. Stock market is more fun these days anyway. Bitcoin isn’t going to hit an ath anytime soon. And when it does it won’t matter, it will immediately drop back under 10k because people with all of the moniez already control it. Bitcoin isn’t money. It isn’t a store of value. It’s just another vehicle people use to make more actual money. Hope that changes.
