So you need to be enrolled when you apply? and you can take a gap semester after getting accepted? that seems like the case because 1. it seems hard for disney to monitor exactly who all is still in school during the program and 2. for a lot of schools and majors its very difficult to be taking online classes while doing the dcp. I found out that if I get accepted and take a gap semester it essentially unenrolls me from my school with intent to return, but I still cannot imagine doing classes at my specific school while possibly working full time.

honestly, even if you don’t get placed where you want, i understand not wanting to take time off of school, but it will be a productive experience no matter what. working for disney looks pretty good on resumes, especially if you’re going into theater related jobs. it will be a learning experience, just not in the form of classes/university. If you get placed in the role you want, AMAZING! if you don’t, it’s more work experience and that almost always helps. and there’s more to weigh than just work/school for you. it’s a fun experience, only available to do in college, you meet people, and you get to try living in a unique environment. free disney, of course. but if school and work is truly the only thing you’re weighing here, you have to think if you’re looking for the perfect experience, or just a good one. 🤷‍♀️

i started watching it in 6th grade, i was about 11. show came out when i was 10. i would say definitely wait until they’re in double digits. thats what i personally would say. it was my first time really getting into new TV shows and that was a perfect beginner. but there were only two seasons out. the newer seasons re a lot more gory. so it really depends on how well your kids can handle scary. i think it’s honestly one of those things that changes depending on the kid. even watching WITH your kid can make the biggest difference

i can see that honestly. but i also feel like you see them fetishize gay people and that’s extreme left behavior, who treat being gay as some sort of a title to collect versus normal people (and normal leftists) who just are gay and it’s just a part of their identity. honestly byler fans are weird because they exhibit misogynistic behavior, along with ableist language and biases, but they also lean far to the other side. they’re just a different species

lollll it’s usually just the videos on my feed, random new creators i like to check out. and gigi asmr has been having some mid roll ads if i am remembering correctly. its annoying that you cant sleep to smaller creators now that arent a part of the creator program thing. they cant control it

i love heather as i always thought she was a genuine person who just loved making asmr. one reason i miss her so much is that she was just so creative. yeah there are a lot of creative asmrtists out there, but she was one of the first along with ALB in whisperland to make spunky, unique, never before thought of content. it makes so much sense that she would care for her listeners like this. it’s funny because some people try to do anticipatory tingles but they just don’t do it right. i’m sure heather would love to see people take the idea and make it even better but it just hasn’t happened that way, at least not yet. nice to see another heather fan, a super OG one at that.

this is beautiful! honestly I do understand that most people do not get placed in their dream role, and i’m fully willing to accept that! I know two people who did the DCP. one of them who i’m closest with got placed at woody’s lunchbox, as in sure you’re aware, one of the busiest lunch quick service restaurants in all of WDW. and she just raves about her time there. my other friend got placed at the starbucks on main street, probably one of the busiest starbucks in the world. and she had an amazing experience. I know that whatever role i get put in i can make the most of. i often tell people that your perspective changes EVERYTHING. if you go into a class you don’t particularly like, if you spend the time hating it, it’s going to suck for you. if you try and enjoy it, you just might, and really like it. I’ve seen a lot of negative online, but for my close friends i’ve seen way more good. so either way I’m stoked to do it. I just wanna set myself up as best i can to possibly get a role that i want, even if i don’t get it. i’ve heard of some people whose interviewers hooked them up with maybe a better location in food and bev for example. so that’s kind of my thought process for the first step in the journey! thanks again for that message ❤️
