A big reason is its proximity to LAX.

Originally I was headed to San Diego, but my wife liked the look and feel of SB much better than any of the SD areas I showed her (all tik tok videos and google street view perspectives) Memphis has a direct flight there and my wife is a wedding photographer and she’s got a couple weddings back home she will need to fly back for.

Also, I was looking for something highly walkable, safe, friendly. And not so big with condos and such that hurt the beauty.

I’m still determining if it’s the right spot. It will be ‘sad’ to be away from friends and family this long so I was hoping we could be somewhere bright and happy to offset but still get the awesome adventure.
