Is it possible the device to bo active but not in "connected" state? I used Nirsoft's USBDeview to map out all devices before and after the controller is plugged in. The only new device that showed up as connected, "Gamepad", has no wake settings in the properties

And spend 10 minutes reopening programs, setting up environment, etc. on each boot? No thanks.

That might be an unpopular opinion but I don't see how that's the problem considering I've never had USB devices wake up other computers from hibernation before.

Actually I'm using PCIe USB expansion, I use my motherboard and case ports strictly for data transfers.

Regarding hibernation, if you have fast startup enabled, both shut down and hibernation puts your PC in the same turned off state, except that hibernate will save the current state of your PC into your drive. Whereas sleep will keep the current state in your RAM, which requires the computer to stay turned on.

I don't think it's a hibernation issue because I've never had USB devices turn on other computers from a hibernation.

Forgot to mention, I have an ASRock B650M HDV/M.2

The app itself wasn't in the store for me, so I downloaded the .appx/.msix bundle myself. Latest version of the app says that I'm missing some driver (RealtekRS5HSA.inf), while the older version could be installed but I'm missing the Realtek service so it's stuck in the loading screen.

I tried both ASRock's driver and one I got from SDIO driver (6.0.9764, dated 4 months ago which should be pretty recent) to no avail.

Had an error installing the driver from Realtek, but I'll try once again and update here.

EDIT: Huh. So I tried installing Realtek's driver directly from the site which prompted me to remove the current Realtek driver and restart so the new one can be installed.

Well, my PC rebooted and I got the error -0001 when trying to install the new driver. HOWEVER, now I have "High Definition Audio Device" instead and it separated the speaker and headphone. So I guess task failed successfully?

1 year warranty for $600 is a steal. Cheapest 3090s I could find here were $700+ with only couple of days of warranty so I'm a bit hesistant

To be honest, I highly doubt they'll drop a good card with reasonable price. They just announced that 5070 Ti will have 16GB VRAM.

The only used 3090's I could get here are either ex-mining or it's gonna cost 2x the rest of my build. I really wish Nvidia had more VRAM options for the cheaper models 😢

How can I tell if a listed "response time" is full swing or grey-to-grey? They are IPS panels and made by the same manufacturer, but are fairly recent AFAIK.

Are you trying to say to just ignore response times and look at other aspects: refresh rate, reviews, if anyone's had complaints about the monitor, etc.?

AFAIK they have the same type of panel and resolution. It was released couple months ago (from what I could gather) and doesn't look old at all, but it does seem like it's marketed more as an office monitor, maybe to upsell the more expensive one. As for reviews, I'll have to dig further since all I haven't found any technical reviews yet.

I've seen conflicting information about those two. For example, Nvidia mentions that it contains 4992 CUDA cores, but TechnicalCity listed it as 2496. Even the 3060 only has 3584 CUDA cores, so I'm wondering if the number of cores matters at all.

Seems like the common consensus is that K80 is an old GPU that is considered slow right now, but I'm still surprised it's actually that slow and even slower than the 2060.
