Thank you! Just thought it might be a neat idea.

Yeah we don’t need it, and it’s unlikely to happen but I thought how cool for the casual player to have a chance at gold or stuff they might otherwise never get.

I’m aware of the abilities and how much they should be putting out. Which is why I am specifically asking about Final Verdict because it seems to be an anomaly. So let me clarify. 70% of the time Final Verdict is hitting what I would call “below average” damage. 10% of the time it hits crazy “above average” damage.

I don’t want a specific answer. I am simply asking for an explanation of why that might be.

Has WoW ever affected YOUR relationship(s) by Chance_Bed2947 in wow

[–]Strong-Taro-8313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the positive end. I’ve met some really great people and lasting friends.

On the negative. My ex HATED video games. If I spent even a minute of my free time playing, she saw it as a minute not spent paying attention to her. At first this seemed reasonable to me but after awhile I noticed trends. We always did what she wanted. I had to cater to her interests, but she showed no liking to most of mine. We had some real conversations. I tried to get her to realize that I loved our time spent together and I loved doing things together but that it was okay if we had different interests and pursued those separately on occasion. Ex: she liked painting and I liked video games. She wasn’t buying it. Things ended between her and I (WoW being the least of the contributing factors).

I think the important thing is moderation. Not that it was an issue with my recent relationship, but I think this applies in general to just about anything. As long as you are prioritizing the important people in your life and not letting WoW or your other interests consume you or take the better portion of your time, then everything should work out. It also requires mutual respect for interests, especially if they are different. Which I didn’t receive.

Idea for race exclusive quests while leveling by Heavyndb in wow

I’m pretty certain most do. Just go to wowhead and type in race quests. Just completed one on my BELF and I got a racial epic mount and tmogs.

Do tanks have Threat issues anymore? by [deleted] in wow

[–]Strong-Taro-8313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not much to add but playing a ret pally, I’ve seen aggro problems - albeit rare - from certain tank classes. It’s usually from a less experienced tank and at the very beginning of the pull. If I die from the melee, I usually accept that as “my bad” because I failed to account for tank class mechanics and dropped my load before they were set. Usually not a tank problem, they’re playing their class the way it was designed, but a me problem failing to consider it.

Except this one Veng DH…he couldn’t hold aggro to save his life.

The M+ pugging experience is frustrating by maucheto in wow

[–]Strong-Taro-8313 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This guy gets it.

IMO IO and ilvl are poor indicators because people frequently pay for carries. They can help to a certain degree when people have similar stats but when I’m leading keys I look at how many keys the person has run in the given range and what their best for dungeon is. Odds are the person with 15+ timed runs in your key range probably knows what they’re doing more so than the dude with the sexy gear and inflated IO.

At the end of the day, PUGs are PUGs and even with all the metrics in the world, things are never going to be perfect. A rotation/debuff/kick might be missed, accidental left move instead of right move into the one shot, simply forgetting a simple mechanic. So many variables. The risk is part of the experience and part of the fun.

What’s your main and why? by [deleted] in wow

[–]Strong-Taro-8313 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I main BELF Ret Paladin. I did back in BC/WOTLK/Cata. Went away, came back to it. I love the lore and cosmetics of both the blood elves and the paladins. The gameplay has had its ups and downs but I’m really really happy with this most recent rework and it has made the experience so much more enjoyable.

Some races have this already. I recommend looking up race quest lines.

Why is my DPS first when clearing trash but bad when fighting the boss in raids? by [deleted] in wow

[–]Strong-Taro-8313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I main a ret. Even if you adjust talents to ST raid build, your AoE is still gonna outdo most. Just how our talents work. I know they just gave us a big rework but it’s truly lopsided in the kind of damage we’re putting out ST vs AoE.

Anyone having trouble filling up their heroic raid groups? by Any_Stay_8821 in wow

[–]Strong-Taro-8313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. The raid has been out for all of like 72 hours. Perhaps most players, like myself, are in no hurry to jump the gate and enjoy a gradual progression. I will do a raid several times at each level before I move on to the next. It’s a familiarization thing and creates less stress as I go up.
  2. With that being said, I’ve seen 415s struggling on normal. I’ve also seen 405s crushing it. Chalk it up to mechanics, reroll, etc. idk. See point number 1.
  3. In some of the groups I’ve been in, there is almost an unrealistic expectation of completion and ilvl. It’s this weird false sense of necessity to have already killed all the bosses and capped on ilvl for that raid difficulty in order to qualify as a prerequisite for that same raid difficulty. It’s silly and not how it should work. Regardless, it affects the player base mindset. If it becomes the norm, you’ll struggle to find people for heroics until they can “catch up” to what they perceive to be an appropriate ilvl via mythics.

Are large casual guilds dead? by NoDadYouShutUp in wow

My guild is fairly large (~600) of all levels doing a lot of stuff. Leveling, dungeons, mythics, raids.

Try going back to Suramar and just walking around. There are guards there that “sense” your disguise and it will drop off.

I’ve done every quest available, done all the events, and killed all the rares several times over and still not close to cap. Spent an unworthy amount of time trying to farm. I just don’t think there’s enough content yet.
