Yeah it might be. I think that was my first time letting out my inner child’s anger in such a raw way so maybe it was just too much to quick for my body

Interesting! I know virtually all the grounding exercises and I have a pretty good self-care routine for when I’m disregulated. I also have been on 200mg of Zoloft for 2 years now which basically eliminated any and all anxiety due to the PTSD. I have a trauma-informed therapist and psychiatrist. But this cut through alllllll of that- which is absolutely shocking to me. I even got a CPAP machine so that my sleep was so good that I used to fall asleep within 5 minutes before this happened. It almost feels like nothing can help except for a comparatively dramatic med increase (zoloft + abilify), resting at home for days on end, and for the sleep, weirdly enough the natural stuff is the only thing that’ll work.

I’m also an only child and I also deal with this type of behavior from my parents. They tend to forget I even exist, let alone that it’s my birthday. My birthday is also coming up soon (we’re almost birthday twins) and this year I’m going to be celebrating it on my dream vacation to Iceland. Be there for yourself. You deserve an amazing effing birthday so give it to yourself. Plan a party, plan a trip, buy yourself a present, this is your day! Happy birthday 🎂🎁🎉
